I've read over and over the bashing of Mizzou's SEC existence. I wanted the Tigers inaugural SEC to be as successful as advertised. With A&M's surprising success, the Aggies made the expansion look good. Producing Johnny Football was a bonus. The addition of TV's in KC and St. Louis is the only reason Mizzou is in the SEC. I've embraced the conference always rooting for SEC teams. The sports radio in St. Louis is totally clueless as far as the SEC is concerned. They can barely get the schools and scores correct. Hopefully over time it will change. The spirit of college football is alive and well in the SEC. Any Mizzou or A&M fan who took advantage of the SEC resources of coverage probably were blown away by the 24/7 365 days of interest. Not your typical fanbase. Also, the Aggies and Tiger brass are laughing at the Big 10 and 12 saying look at us we are in the best conference in college sports while expansion is hot and SEC splits revenue evenly . We are the smartest guys in the room. But not until the Tigers win conference games will we garner any respect. The divisions need to be realigned but that's for another discussion. Mike Slive is not done with expansion that's why the SEC is dragging it's feet on future schedules.

I said the same thing a few days ago that for Mizzou to be happy long term we need to get them in the West. But a Mizzou poster pointed out a very valid point. With Mizzou in the East with Arkansas as your permanent West rival, Mizzou will play all 4 SEC schools that border Missouri every year. If we move you West, you will only play 1.

Missouri stumbled a little out of the gate, but they will improve quickly IMO over the next 2-3 seasons. Don't let people get under your skin around here...

Don't think of it as the SEC East--that's just a name. It's really the SEC North (Mizzou, UT, Vandy, & UK) & East (USC, UGA & UF). With Arkansas as a permanent rival, the geography is fine.

Glad to have Mizzou personally, as are most SEC fans. Don't put too much stock on the retard rants you read on this board.

My only complaint is the new uni's...wish the program would go back to the traditional helmet.

That is true, but as far as drive time, I would bet Ole Miss is as close as UT or UK, if not closer. We'll just be happy no matter where y'all stick us.

I think Mizzou will get it eventually. Just not in the first few years why they try and adjust.

I would venture a guess a majority of the Mizzou fan base wishes we'd return not just to the old helmets, but gold, not yellow. They're not the worst in the country but the old ones/colors were better.
