I honestly think he should. He has done a ton for your program, and deserves the benefit of the doubt. This is a terrible year for Mizzou to be looking for coaches anyway.

I agree this is the right call. Mizzou will improve in year 2, although probably won't destroy anyone. Maybe 8 wins?

Pinkel is a good coach, Missouri is an average program.

You really thought you would come into The SEC and instantly do well? You're Mizzou - you were not brought into this great conference to add something to our football strength. Keep Pinkel b/c there's way too many good programs in search of coaches right now. You would be slaughtered in a coach search.

I don't mind the record, to be honest. We had a tougher OOC schedule overall than probably anyone in the SEC.
I do mind how we lost. And the complete breakdowns on offense and defense.
Yeah we had a bunch of injuries on OLine. But should that mean we can't pick up a single A gap blitz the entire year? I don't buy it.
Yes, our QB was hurt. Obviously that means we should run him off tackle.
Hey, it's 3rd and 4. Cornerbacks, line up 10 yards from the LOS.
And holy mother of Moses, can we snap a ball to the QB/holder properly more than twice in a row?
I agree Pinkel has earned the right to have a mulligan. But I don't see it getting significantly better next year. Our record may improve because of a weaker or more favorable schedule. We're not going to be a significantly better team.

Agreed - Mizzou played one of the toughest schedules in the country.
And Franklin not being healthy all season really set you guys back.
Pinkel deserves at least another year.

Too many good HC positions open, there will be slim pickings if they fire him this year, wait a year and some better replacements might surface.
Besides, Mizzou was pretty decimated with injuries this year, with Franklin healthy they may make a bowl game.
