You're confusing SEMO and Southern with a school in Springfield.
Mizzou wanted no part of us in basketball and football because it was no win for them. I don't blame them either for it, too much to lose. There were years we could have beat them.

There is so much salt in this thread...

People aren't playing college baseball for passion and state pride, most hope to get drafted by a MLB team or independent pro team.
This is certainly not mutually exclusive to baseball.

Neither of those have a "flagship" name on them. SMS has some decent degree programs. Overall, the school is a hot mess academically.
Eta: if you're remembering years SMS could've beaten Mizzou in football, it's safe to say you're my dad's age.

Cliff notes version-
All Missouri schools suck.
All Missouri schools suck.

Dude...college baseball. I just read earlier in this thread that the players have to retrieve foul balls
shite, between that and the metal bats, you might as well watch the local little league teams play

Hey, I'm all for hating on SMS's laughably awful athletics program despite a 25K enrollment and 10 year change to Missouri State with no progress made, but you ain't gotta bash on my degree you fricking dick.
Drury is definitely the academic power in the area.

You may be the only person to say that about LSU baseball fans, which other teams cheer stand and applaud the other players for a nice play.
Just ask the coach and players from Air Force

Missouri State is not bad academically as people make it out to be. For a Div 1aa school I'd put it above a lot of Div 1aa schools that are in Arkansas, Louisiana, Mississippi, and Alabama.
Mo State is not on the level of Mizzou, Truman, Washington, SLU or Missouri S&T...but it's not some pud school.
There's people from Missouri State, Missouri Southern, UCM, and Pittsburg State(KS) that are living in the Kansas City/STL/Tulsa metro making more than KU, Arkansas, and Mizzou grads. It all depends on where you work and what field you go into.

And how good a worker you are. There's too much weight given to school's academic prowess as a predictor of success. If you wanna hustle, you make money. But still, MoSt, lol.

I'll take Nolan and that basketball national title over a BCS bowl game win or lose.

Their HC actually reminded me of an older, fatter Bob Petrino, without the ability to occasionally grin. He was awful.
TV didn't show half the crap that team pulled. I can't believe how much trash they talked to officiating the whole series. Players just mouthing the umpire at literally most of their at-bats.

What about their Jersey combos though?
Holy shite they were all a fricking abomination.
Worst hats I've ever seen. Would make me want to kick my own arse dressing up in those threads.

Adidas gonna adidas. The ones yesterday were the worst, from the caps to the giant Bear on the front. Just rofl.

Liked them more that those jerseys with the ugly A on it.

While we're piling on SMS how did you like Kenny Power's fat older brother as their pitching coach?

I can't stand the all digital camo jerseys. You can't see anything printed on them. I see enough of these jerseys at 11U tournaments.
I like when teams feature a digital camo cap in recognition of armed forces, but the jerseys are too much.
MSU is an Adidas school so they'll have weird uniform combinations.
Like MSU's big Bear, ULL had a big fleur de lis on the front of their jerseys last night.
