You are a week away from starting your new life as a member of the SEC.

Probably won't really kick in until I wake up on 9/8. My sister in law has decided its best that she come to visit that week. Her flight arrives at 4 pm, pacific on 9/8. I told the wife, flat out. "I'll see her when I see her."

I will say this, my level of caring about preseason practices and watching last seasons SEC games on ESPNU has gone up 1000 fold. So yeah I guess I'm psyched.

I've never been more ready for a season of college football. idc what our record is at the end of year, i'm just excited to begin getting acclimated to our new home. We've had our ups and downs, and of course I want a good, winning season, but shite I'm just excited for this "new era"

I can imagine. This first season is gonna seem like a 12 game non-conference schedule to you guys, lol. I can't wait til we play Mizzou and it will be cool seeing Bama in Columbia.

Yeah, it's gonna seem real foreign this year. Looking forward to every game, and the OOC isn't bad for us this year either. 9 wins is respectable. 10 wins would be the tits.

As someone who grew up a Bama fan his whole life before moving out to A&M, I can say without being ashamed that it's a dream come true. My alma mater's going to play all the schools I grew up variously rooting for or against, depending on who they were playing that week.

I imagine I'm a little less "star-struck" about the SEC than most of my fellow Ags, just because I'm used to it. But I'm thrilled that the two halves of my college football life are together at last!

I have a feeling both these schools will have success much faster than expected. Good luck to both of your schools and enjoy the best fans along with the best tailgating experience in CFB!

Thx man.

Many SEC bars here in SoCal. Can't wait to walk into the local Tigers Lair with my MIZ shite on. Should be awesome.

I agree. Mizzou and A&M will be just fine.

Quit being nice to them. They're pledges.

Given the past month of preseason practices. Do you guys know a little bit more about Mizzou? Is everyone still convinced the depth will be the killer for us? I know I know a lot more about everyone in the SEC than I did a month ago.

Missouri is in a good position i think. Their style of offense with the talent level will definitely compete with the majority of SEC competition. Mizzou will be a lot like Arkansas i think. Texas A&M is the big mystery given the philosophy of Kevin Sumlin and the fact that Texas A&M is so running back heavy. It will be interesting to see both this year though.

Agreed about aTm. We've got them Thanksgiving week and they should have all their ducks in a row by then. Will be a problem.
