I can see State’s D giving Bama some issues. But like everyone else, I don’t see us producing anything on offense. Moorhead will come out with some cute designs, but they won’t work and it’ll be over by the half.

I just learned MSST has only given up 9 TD this season. Bama better have their crap together.

Best case scenario for State, Bama wins 17-6.

I know you said "best case" but anybody who has watched Alabama play this year can't seriously think anybody is holding them to 17 points.

Mississippi State is averaging less than 14 points of scoring offense in SEC play this year. They are not that good despite their ranking. In fact, the only reason they are ranked is because they handled an overrated Auburn team at home earlier in the season.

It could have easily been 9-0 at the end of the half of the LSU game. If the LSU DB had just batted the ball down inside his own 4, it would have been 4th down at Alabama's own 27. LSU would have had the ball at the 30 or better, instead of their own 4.

LSU probably has the best collection of DB's in the country, but they were getting gashed by Bama's run game. MSU won't get gashed consistently on the ground. I could see MSU being a tougher overall matchup against Bama's offense.

The big question for me is, can MSU's offense generate enough offense to keep their D off the field the whole game?

Yea Alabama also had almost 600 yards of offense.

Mississippi state's defense is legit but their offense is almost as bad as LSU's.

Our offense may give up more points than the defense.

State has a lot of options on offense.

They can run Fitz to the right, but they can also run him to the left.

Then when Bama adjusts, they change it up by running Fitz up the middle.

Gonna be tough to run on them and they can get to Tua. Last year they ran the ball up our gut all night chewing up clock. I hope to get ahead a few scores and force them to abandon the run.

I'm one that thinks it will be a tough game. Miss State has the front 7 to play with Alabama. How long they do that is up to Fitzgerald IMO.
