If Brooks/his mom came and asked if we had a spot etc, I'm sure we would tell him yes. Just put it this way, it was news to us when he officially asked for a release
ETA: Auburn expected to be 3rd when he signed

Mississippi State has granted Garrison Brooks full release of NLI. Howland spoke w/ Brooks over the phone earlier this afternoon, per source
Oh well, at least we can still recruit Alabama

Welp, there shouldn't be any doubt about who is filthy when this kid signs .....again.

Bruce Pearl meddling/tampering with someone that has signed a NLI. That is probably a level 1 violation... something ole brucey doesn't need again.

Pearl has only had secondary recruiting infractions, so the major infraction of breaching a LOI by contacting another team's recruit seems unlikely
Bruce's major infractions were for lying/covering up. His actual recruiting problems were minor/secondary

Bruce has never had a recruiting violation like that before, it would end his career today if it happened.
The idea that Bruce would risk his career, his son's career and his financial future over a kid who we don't need is pretty insane

He'll probably try and go back to North Carolina. He'll then probably get buried in their depth chart and his mom will freak out again or he'll transfer to a midmajor and finish his basketball career there. Either way, I don't think this is the last time we'll hear about this nut job woman.

Our bagmen are way more discrete/professoinal than this. Auburn compliance doesn't F around, they would shut this down with the quickness considering how much smoke it generates/seriousness
Logically, it doesn't add up since the guy isn't someone we need. He wouldn't start next year or the year after

These Dawg fans are crying just as much as Illinois fans have the last few days about Mizzou.

Our day could be worse... We could be Missouri fans.

Why do you keep trying to relate things back to Mizzou? Seriously no one gives a frick about Mizzou. Stop bringing yourself up into a conversation that no one wants you in.

You keep saying this, you know he plays the 4, right? The only other guy I see on Auburn's roster at PF is Spencer. Ya'll would and could definitely use him.
ETA: and probably will.

This is the Coach O hire of basketball. Hire a good recruiter, get some recruits and pump your chest out.....
Then the inevitable crash and burn with multiple future pro players on the roster.

No doubt. This has slanted my view on Howland a bit.
But, I'll trust him

But but but he doesn't really want to leave
