Possibly because it could spread to the team, coaching staff, etc.
Just look at how our seats are emptying out and people leaving early because we feel like we need to just dominate and are spoiled from previous success. Getting back down to reality and being humbled will get the fans to realize the team needs them, and then possibly give them the boost they need because we as fans all need to be humbled from time to time. Just a theory.

We suck at D-Line this year, but we have had some great one's in the past and Danielle Hunter isn't exactly a slouch. We need Valentine badly!

State Fans, congrats on the win. Now, please slow down. There is still half a season to go and you're already discussing #1 vs. #2 Egg Bowls, and national titles. You guys still have Bama and Ole Miss to go, not to mention a much improved Arky and Kentucky whom, you have a losing record to both.

I was more talking about Auburn, Alabama and even LSU, but our annoying pride to other SEC teams came from recent SEC and national championship appearances that were won or not. Just getting there is an accomplishment. Ole Miss crap talks way too much for nothing much to show for but improvement. LSU is getting better at not doing this lately and I think it will make winning more enjoyable. Just look at the meltdown Alabama had last season even after all the success they have had. They win games and still whine. LSU is shifting towards less whining and coming to reality that we are not the master of football. Ole Miss is good, but until they actually get to an SEC Championship they have no right to heckle like they (fans) do.

Pretty funny how the roles have reversed this year. I'll freely admit I'd like nothing better than to piss in Rebel cheerios this year. Not saying that's the only thing I want LSU to accomplish this year but it would be a sweet arse win.

I was honestly joking to point out that Ole Miss fans have experience dealing with the other side of the coin.
As far as I can tell, this site is approximately 90% talking trash/heckling, and 10% reasonable discussion - and that's being extraordinarily generous. Don't let the trash talk get to you. It's meaningless, and you'll never be able to convince everyone to stop doing it.
