They just beat their first ranked team in a bowl game since 1941. The team they beat was Tulsa with their best player opting out

That same game was also their highest ranked team they have beaten, which was the #9 team of the county, the Georgetown Hoyas in 1941.

My favorite note, Mississippi state has never been in the sugar bowl.... never even been In it. Lol state

I love how Ole Miss is the only fan base in the country who values the Sugar Bowl more than the National Championship.

I mean, to get to championships you have to be consistently in the NY6 bowls.... it’s a progression

So when that fails to progress to anything, you resort to co divisional championships and have that as the hallmark of the "walk of champions". Got it

I guess you can always resort to having one of the players that you outbid your rival for snitch on said rival for bidding at all to try to knock them down.

Yet they beat the defending national champions on the road.

Oof.

Top 25 rankings mean very little this year. In a normal year no way that Tulsa team is top 25. In a normal year though, MSU is probably 7-5 regular season rather than 3-7.

And Ole Miss has never been to the SEC Championship Game.

You stupid arse Rebels love making shite up and just bringing it here thinking no one will call your dumbasses out. State actually beat the #1 team in the nation in 1980 you stupid shite. We beat #6, #8, and #2 back to back to back in 2014. Hell, this year we beat #6.

No, but we've been to the Orange Bowl a few times.

That Sugar Bowl thing is stupid. State would have gone to the Sugar in 2014 but the Sugar was part of the CFP that year so State went to the Orange Bowl. No difference.

One of OM's Sugar Bowl appearances they finished FIFTH in the SEC. State has accomplished that several times so there's nothing that special about the Sugar Bowl.

OM just beat Indiana with their best player out. That Indiana QB passed for 491 yards and 5 TDs against Ohio State.

Correct. Counting number of Sugar Bowl appearances hasn't mattered since the SEC champion stopped automatically going to the Sugar Bowl

Pssst..... for a troll to be effective, you kinda need to do a better job of not making yourself look like an idiot. Your "trivia" is pure fiction.

yeah but America is young historically and there is still plenty of time for redemption. The University of Bologna was founded in 1088 and even have a sandwich meat named after them. Mississippi State has cheese so we are turning a corner. I'm an optimist tho
