quote:Yes - we know. Your life is built around mediocre. Your basketball coach daddy pounded that into your head. Mullen has built an excitement around the campus that has never been rivaled. We need to build, build and build some more. Strike when the iron is hot. This schedule is not the way to keep that going.

No they won't. As long as we are winning big the fans will be happy.
7 win seasons are winning big?

We tried your scheduling method last method scheduling home and homes with Oregon, West Virginia, and Georgia Tech.
This is your problem. You think he is saying scheduling the best of the best. Just because people say schedule BCS teams doesn't mean go out and play Oregon. Go out and play Wake Forest, Duke, Kansas, Iowa State, etc. Actual BCS teams that you can beat. Anything is better than four bottom feeders.

That brings up a good point. If State was to miss a bowl with that cakewalk OOC schedule, how bad would Mullen look then?

It's entirely possible with that closing stretch, but I seriously figure they get to 6-6 again.

Mullen doesn't lose to teams he suppose to win, other than fricking Aubrum.

4-8, State almost gets swept by the state of Alabama but blows out South Alabama.

State will beat A&M and will split between Tenn and AUB.

at worse 7-5
Likely 8-4
at best 9-3

I wouldn't talk in absolutes, relative to those three programs. They have so much more talent that Mississippi State. Those are all toss-ups at best, even if they are home games.

Yep. Tennessee may be a trainwreck but its not because they aren't talented. A good coach could probably taken them to the East tilte next year. Unfortunately they're saddled with Dooley and company.
