I don’t think you’re going to be able to do this. We are going to run a lot of empty sets...

Clanga clanga clanga. I think state is in for an asswhipping this Saturday night in death valley. The tigers are coming to play and won't overlook them like last season. Geaux Tigers.

State is 6th in 3rd down defense and Lsu is 90th in 3rd down offense.

And before the LSU game, UGA had statistically a better defense in total yards, and against both the rush and pass than MSU. MSU had a better scoring defense by .4 points per game.

See how easily UGA stopped LSU? I mean, on paper they should have, right?

Never change, Daniel.

Doesn't matter if you don't have 5 receivers who can catch the ball.

So LSU isn't going to cover they guys who can't catch the ball?

'Cause that's what you are inferring

I guess you've never heard of zone coverage. You know what kills a zone? A QB who is accurate and a receiver who can catch. Do you have either of these?

LSU may beat State by 3 touchdowns but they will not leave five receivers wide arse open. State's running game is effective because it creates 1 on 1 opportunities and Fitz wins these 75% of the time.

Go ahead and run a zone against Fitz and Hill. They will have 400 yards rushing combined. State may attempt 15 passes in the entire game. Going to run and play ball control.

Its exactly what you would do if you were trying to beat LSU with State's personnel.

Try to keep up. You responded to a statement about LSU loading the box to prevent the run.

I was responding to a statement about Mississippi State running out of empty sets. Exactly how often do you think this will happen? And in those situations, LSU will probably run some sort of combo coverage.

Where did you find this stat? I keep seeing it repeated but nobody is citing anything. Not that I don’t believe it, I’m just curious where every other defense is. Those are good numbers from a TD/INT standpoint, but the completion percentage looks about right. Those are low percentage throws
