I like State to beat Aggies, don’t know shite about spread but it’s just a bad match up at bad spot in schedule for Aggies

I appreciate your takes. What specifically do you see that is a bad matchup for A&M?

Mississippi state is not a bad match up for A&M . They are a dangerous team if they can get it going however if you don't tackle well. Their offensive strength plays to A&M defensive strength. Their offensive weakness plays to A&M's defensive weakness. It should be a good game . Definitely one A&M needs to win or the season could be looking pretty bleak. Msu probably feels the same way and are playing at home.

Our secondary is by far our biggest strength.

Doesn’t matter how good your secondary is. You beat the air raid by getting to the QB. LSU did that very well. I don’t care how good DBs are, no one can cover 4 guys for 6 seconds.

Leach is so unpredictable. Maybe he hates Aggie…maybe he wakes up Saturday and doesn’t GAF…who knows with this guy. It’s almost like he is trying to ever expand the caricature of himself.

App State is a solid team

No they aren’t. And neither is Miami.

App State is very solid. I don't know enough about them to know why exactly, but they play with a high degree of confidence, and play toe to toe with more talented teams and sometimes win against them. They are different.

App State is by no means bad. Still can’t shake the fact that they’ve given up a bunch of points this season and A&M only managed 14 against them, and one of those was a non-offensive TD.

Also, scoring 17 against Miami right before MTSU totally torched their defense is a weird look too, even though A&M won that game.

App state went to Kyle Field and won vs a top 10 team. That is not an easy place to win. And they came two 2-pt conversions away from beating North Carolina. They are a solid program and would give your ailing bulldogs all they could handle I can assure you.

I honestly have no clue what to expect out of this game. My best bet is a war of attrition I think? Something close in the teens/low 20s?

I think it's more of a break out game for Ms St. A&M is not great at stopping the run and Leach actually has them running well. 6.5 per carry. I would not doubt A&M being close to last in the nation vs the run.

I also think that Ms St's defense is well suited to defend what A&M does.

First, you allowed yourselves to get outgained like 240-17 for about a 2 quarter stretch of the game. Then, you failed to take advantage of the holding and PIs that the refs let slide for you. Finally, you refused to take advantage of A&M's missed FG by making one of your own. Sure, you still probably would have lost on a last second A&M FG, but at least you'd had a chance.

You left out we didn't take advantage of all of the holding calls they didn't call against A&M.

Is this how I do it?

How were those teams passing offense. Cause that's what they will face. I would dare say that Ap st, Sam Hue, Miami, and Ark are all not great at passing.

So in looking.

Miami 91

App St. 59th

ark 78th

Sam Hue.. 121..

So what we are talking about is a defense who is not great defending the run and still allowing horrible passing offenses yards going up against a team that completes 74% of it's passes and averaging 6.5 per carry(RB)

No brainier to me.

I'm not him, but here is what I see. Your run defense is bad. State is averaging 6.5 per carry with their main back and has done that no matter who they have lined up against.

Second, Your passing defense is not great. You allowed Ark to complete 63% of their passes for 171 yards on just 19 passes. State is completing 74% of their passes and will throw it 45 to 50 times.

Now you can flip that coin and you see what your offense has done since you have changed your QB. The issue is that he does nothing that can exploit the State defense. He's not a speed threat to the out side. Your run game is more attack to the DL which is the strength of the MSU run defense.

It's just not a great match up
