Funny that he's had 5 years to bitch about the refs and he picks this week.
Miles has submitted several tapes & complaints to Birmingham re: officiating and its gotten results and changes made. Whether we're talking about the AU game in 2006 or the 2009 UAT game in Tuscaloosa, there are changes in officiating policy because of issues Miles has brought up.
But I'm sure Miles is the ONLY coach in the HISTORY of organized sport to complain about the officiating or rules of said sport.
The shame of your post is that if you knew twice as much as you think you know, you'd still be a half-wit.

fwiw our offense basically keeps the ball as long as a no huddle offense, we just dont move the ball or score points like most of them

well um..yeaah?
your defense would collapse too if your offense couldnt hang on to the ball for a 5 minute drive the whole game

Yeah, its definitely a case of working harder and not smarter.
In Tuscaloosa, you just hire the brother of the Head of Officiating for the SEC in the Football Office.

Right, because I'm sure Saban has never done anything like that.

He also deflects a lot when he's lost a game. Or a recruit. Or had terrible time management. Or gotten the signals for a time out mixed up with a spike.
It's all good. I can't blame him - everyone does it.

Yep, even the great Saban threw a few players under the bus after the Arkansas game in '02, Cap One Bowl '04, Josh Booty UAB game, etc.....

- Or won 80 games in 7 1/2 seasons, losing only 19
- Or going 3-3 against the Lord Saban
- Or winning 2 SEC Titles and 1 NC.
- Or making 3 SECCG and 2 BCSNCG appearances
- Or going 5-2 in bowl games
- Or winning more SEC games than anyone since 05
- Or having a 13-0 regular season, beating 8 ranked teams, including 3 ranked in the Top 3.
I can't blame him. Everybody does it.
BTW Socrates, Miles was yelling at the offical that the Ole Miss defender who picked up the ball was "DOWN" after the LSU receiver caught the Hail Mary to the Ole Miss 5 yard-line...
He wasn't looking at Jefferson. That loss is on Jefferson. The official was starting to wind his arm to signal the clock to start (LSU had no timeouts) and Jefferson stood there like a tree stump, when his only option was to throw it into the end zone.
Miles explained this widely false rumor ad nauseum in his radio show after that '09 game.

Fact is, Saban doesnt have a good answer for the high octane no huddle offenses like Malzahn,
Saban wasn't addressing the Malzahn(AU) offense, he was talking about the HUNH offenses.

No huddle option, you can count on it.

The only safety issue in no huddle is the D line getting gased in the first half. Which is not a safety issue at all. Just a Saban whining issue.
I don't know what safety issue Les is talking about.

If Saban is talking about it he has a answer for it. His team will run a NH at times.

I think it was Les' way of insinuating that the no-huddle is not a safety issue at all.
And he took holding and made it "seem" like it was a safety issue - all to show the ludicrousness of the no-huddle being unsafe.
That is, he wanted to show that the occasional, even relatively rare facemask or horse-collar or shirt-grabbing is more "dangerous" than Saban's proclamation that the no-huddle is unsafe.
I love it when The Hat one-ups the Coal-Mining Gypsy Napoleon....
