Arky fans are tired of getting their feelings hurt from people saying mean things about bobby, so they're trying to milk this non-story as much as possible to make their typical "we'll beat bama and LSU next year" offseason go faster than usual

I knew they made it that year when Jones hit that 40ish yard TD pass (thanks Saban), but I didn't remember if they have ever won one.

LSU fans getting riled up about this story going on for two whole days, when Petrino's situation with the Falcons gets brought up by them and others all the time 4 years after it happened.

No. That's not the point. Many LSU fans wouldn't really agree with the comments. I, for one, wish he hadn't said it. Other fans will disregard the comments entirely. But most fans will completely disagree with Arkansas fans berating those comments and placing them on par with the day after Thanksgiving.
What's worse is Bahn's pathetic attempt to parallel Kiel and DGB's recruiting and the coaches subsequent reactions. It's ridiculous. The situations are dissimilar, yet Bahn portrays them as if they are identical. Torshiro Davis and DGB are synonymous, not Kiel and DGB.
Bahn was merely trying to deflect the "classless" attention Petrino has been receiving, and he ended up looking silly.

...and Miles' comment was an excellent target for deflection. That comment was definitely classless.
I get the feeling Miles has no real clue on what he intends to say beforehand, and therefore winds up winging it ad lib style. That's why he turns out so much word salad.
