No way. If Tennessee goes 8-4 we'll be happy. I would guess the same is true with Auburn and maybe Arky.

No,Les will do fine. How come you Tennessee pussies produce so few instate players? Since the 50s,UT,has never had many instate players.Ya'll should be banned from talking football on message boards.

I honestly think Chizik might be the closest coach to the hot seat right now. I don't think he has to win a certain number of games but if he looks to be lost or incompetent as a head coach, he might be two and done.
Miles - Maybe if he has another 3-5 year, not now though
Kiffin - If he loses badly and keeps running his mouth, maybe
Spurrier - South Carolina has never been any good and he's made them better but they were expecting more from him
Saban - No, although year 4 the pressure will probably really ramp up
Meyer - No
Brooks - No
Johnson - No
Nutt - No
Petrino - No
Mullen - No
Richt - No
Chizik has 3 years to get Auburn competative again, though Auburn was competative every year except last year and was competative in most games. That said everyone could see after 2006 that the program was turning for the worse under Tubs.
Chizik is not on the hot seat with the people that matter.
Petrino's seat is warming that I am sure of. He will be ok this season due to their schedule but if that team doesn't show strong improvement in 2010 and make some noise in the West you'll see pressure building on him to perform. Ark wants to be a team that competes and wins against AU, UA, LSU every year and I'm not sure they can do that.
Richt's seat is very cold right now.
Miles' seat is ok but he has another melt down year that seat will be red hot.

Yawn. quick question - given that most of the coaches in the SEC are pretty good or pretty new, why does anyone have to be "on the hotseat"?
Also, don't you guys think that the shitty economy will detract boosters and nearly bankrupt states and a tougher lending environment for student loans / universities from buying out contracts?
I can definately see more ADs on the hotseat than coaches - starting with Tennessee, Auburn, and Arkansas.

Don't forget Bama, Mal is a walking disaster. Though I'll admit I'd love for JJ to retire early.

Bobby Petrino is nowhere close to the hot seat. He's good for this year and next before it even starts to get warm. By then the way he's be recruiting we'll have the size, speed, and depth to be very competative in the SEC. And his recruiting has been balanced which should mean we won't have glaring short comings in any area as was the case when we had TCTWF.

Totally disagree these two coaches are about personal character and integrity- that is why they were hired- sure they need to win but they are not on hot seats-
wishful thinking on your part

And yet, since the 50s, we have so many more wins than you do. Weeeeeird.
