Not sure if you know this, but a tiger is a real life animal.

No. The tiger is a racist animal. We have to kill every single tiger on the planet.

Truman isn't racist. It's the way down yonder Tigers that are the true racist.

Slightly off topic, but that may be the worst "article" I've ever read/seen. Is that just typical of Louisiana? They are typically last in education/intelligence.

was there a confederate soldier named Mike or something? cauuuse if not, i don't know how an actual live tiger can be named after the Louisiana Tigers.

Out of the 750,000+ men who fought in the CSA...surely one of them had to have been named “Mike”

Probably not an issue and some have actually committed to the University of LSU.

Tennessee furnished more soldiers for the Confederate Army than any other state besides Virginia

Just means nobody wanted to live in the other shithole states in the confederacy.

Mike the Tiger

You called?

I’m here to say NOT going anywhere. It may have been the genesis of the name but it’s a bengal tiger named Mike that’s the mascot. Not one human being ever associates Mike the Tiger with a Confederate Zouave regiment. If they actually bend to a name change because of that nonsense, then I am 100% officially done with all of it. No shite, but I don’t think that happens. Tiger nation simply would not put up with it, nor would boosters and fans and that means a real hit to revenue, and football revenue runs much much more than just the football program or facilities. It runs LSU, so good luck with that.
