Mike Shula was a better head coach at Alabama than Kalen DeBoer is now.

Mike Shula would of had Alabama in a playoff game today if he had taken over that roster that Saban left for Kalen Deboer. Shula was able to keep Bama competitive in most games. This all while dealing with probation his entire time at Alabama. He lost 21 scholarships in his first 3 years. It was harder to recruit 4 and 5 stars players while on probation. He had to gamble on getting a troublemaker if he was able to land one. They also had fluke injuries to key players in his first 3 years that killed the team since they didn't have any talent to replace those key players.
Shula was able to keep this team above .500 over his 4 years at Bama. He is mainly frowned upon due to the GOAT replacing him, but he would have been a great coach with a team stocked with talent.

Because he doesn’t want it to be true.

Mike Shula was such a good college head coach that after Alabama he was head coach at:
I think that is everybody.

What college head coaching jobs did he apply and interview for?

The team improved each year until those 21 scholarship players were supposed to be juniors and seniors. That's why they were bad in 2006 and 2007. Once probation was over Saban was able to get 5 star talent at every position and play them immediately.

The way DeBoer told your QB to ignore the wide open WRs was awful coaching.
He told QB to stand in the pocket, hold the ball too long, then try to escape at the last second. Definitely how they coached him to play.

His official NCAA recognized record is 10-23.
In four seasons, Mike Shula had a winning record in only one of those. And that is counting vacated wins.
He got Alabama in further trouble and had to vacate all his wins in his last two seasons. So officially his record by year was:
4-9
6-6
0-2
0-6
Anyone who argues he was a good head coach is dumb. He was not ready. I appreciate he took the job because that was a rough time. But he was not a good coach. If he were someone else would have hired him as a head coach in the past 18 years. No one has.

Kalen DeBoer reminds me of Joe Moorhead at State. Inherited a fully stocked roster. But had no control over the team, conditioning was terrible, no discipline, coached with no energy/emotion etc. And in 2018 took a roster that could have won the SEC and have been a top ten/five team and finished
8-5. Exclamation mark was a terrible loss to Iowa in a bowl game we had no business losing.
See any parallels to this year’s Bama team?

Don't avoid the question and repeat the same shite you already said. What college head coach jobs did he apply to and interview for after Alabama?

He was a fine quarterback and a class act as a player and coach at Bama. I hated what he was up against as a coach. An impossible task with all the distractions going on around the football program.

You're an idiot. He was fired because he lost 4 in a row to Auburn and the program wasn't heading in a good direction.
Saban went 7-6 his first year based on what Shula left him.

Happy New Year Patrick! Maybe this year will be better for you than last year.
