Because some people were claiming he died last night and some are claiming he is brain dead and some are claiming it’s unknown if he had a heart attack or not. The truth is that nobody outside of his care team and his love ones know what is going on.

WeeWee do you order more than chol panel, CBC, Chem 20? Just curious ... my husbands PCP laughed adn questioned him when he gave him a list of what I wanted checked for him .. BNP, A1C, Vit D .. nothing weird by any stretch. I mean doesn't it help for the patient to attempt to be proactive??

My prevention lady checks all of that plus all kids of inflammation test adn other things through Boston Heart ... I feel I get great care from her.

what, exactly, about this is laugh-worthy?

"We(the general public) are unsure of what happened."

"AHAHAHAHAHAH frickING NERDS DON'T KNOW ANYTHING AHAHHAHAAH"

honestly makes total sense.

Im glad to see your ccu friends making medical judgements based on internet posts from sports writers with very little information.

Look, we all know what is probably happening, but I would not laugh at anyone looking for a glimmer of hope.

Well I didn’t start seeing a doctor until after my cardiac arrest. I see both a cardiologist and just a regular physician. The physician takes blood twice a year because he’s hell bent on trying to find out why it happened in the first place.

Honest question: if one were to be over 40, have a family history of heart issues (blockages, attacks, open heart surgeries) and hasn't been to a doctor in 20 years, where would he start?

Get you a primary physician and go see them. Simple bloodwork can answer many questions. I went for the first time in 5 years to the doctor 3 years ago and found out I have polycythemia-vera from my bloodwork. It's a condition where your bone marrow makes too many blood cells thus causing slush blood (thick). It's controlled now through daily medicine but had I not went, doc said I would probably have had a heart attack or thrown a blood clot in a few years.

Mike Leach suffers heart attack, situation dire for Mississippi State football coach | Sources (Clarion Ledger)
quote:

Mississippi State football coach Mike Leach had a massive heart attack on Sunday in Starkville and was transferred to University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson, where he is still being cared for on Monday.

According to multiple sources, Leach, 61, collapsed at his home in Starkville, but did not receive medical attention for between 10 to 15 minutes. EMTs used a defibrillator machine and delivered multiple shocks to restore normal heart rhythm.

After he was stabilized at Oktibbeha County Hospital, he was transported by helicopter to UMMC.

Sources said two of four his children are already in Jackson with the other two en route.

It appears, according to sources, that Leach may have suffered seizures with the possibility of brain damage. Sources said the situation is dire, and MSU said Leach was in "critical condition" in a statement Monday.

Prayers for Coach Leach!

about as wild as a medical staff laughing because, for very obvious reasons, the general public doesn't know many details..
