This my list as of right now, setting it up the same way they choose the teams - 8 1st teamers, 8 2nd teamers, 8 freshmen. I am basing this almost exclusively on conference play so far. To not repeat any names and diversify more I excluded any 6th men types from below as well as well as no freshmen on 1st/2nd team (on the real list they will repeat here).

First Team All-SEC
F SO. Daniel Gafford, Arkansas
F JR. Grant Williams, Tennessee
F SR. Chris Silva, South Carolina
F PJ Washington, Kentucky
G SO. Tremont Waters, Louisiana State
G SR. Bryce Brown, Auburn
G SR. Terence Davis, Ole Miss
G SR. Quinndary Weatherspoon, Mississippi State

Second Team All-SEC
F SR. Donta Hall, Alabama
F SR. Kyle Alexander, Tennessee
G SO. John Petty, Alabama
G SR. Admiral Schofield, Tennessee
G JR. Jordan Bone, Tennessee
G JR. Jared Harper, Auburn
G JR. Breein Tyree, Ole Miss
G SR. KeVaughn Allen, Florida

Just missing All-SEC
F SO. Chuma Okeke, Auburn
G SO. Mason Jones, Arkansas
G JR. Wendell Mitchell, Texas A&M
G SO. Saben Lee, Vanderbilt
G SR. Jordan Geist, Missouri

Freshman All-SEC
F Reggie Perry, Mississippi State
F Naz Reid, Louisiana State
G Kira Lewis Jr., Alabama
G Isaiah Joe, Arkansas
G AJ Lawson, South Carolina
G Ashton Hagans, Kentucky
G Tyler Herro, Kentucky
G Noah Locke, Florida

Coach of the Year: Rick Barnes, Tennessee
Player of the Year: F JR. Grant Williams, Tennessee
Sixth man of the Year: G JR. Jordan Bowdon, Tennessee
Freshman of the Year: F Naz Reid, Louisiana State
Defensive Player of the Year: F Nicholas Claxton, Georgia

Not a bad list overall but you missed someone off of the freshmen team who you’ll be hearing a lot about over the next two years.

IMHO he’ll be the next league superstar.

His name is Keyshawn Bryant, #24 ... watch him play when you get a chance. Arkansas and Mizzou fans should be familiar with him already.

ETA: He was supposed to be a senior in HS this year. LINK: Highlight Video ... from one HS game. He was a relative unknown. Frank is teaching him the ways of the Fighting Franks and he is a fast learner.

He's very athletic and fun to watch...........but he has an offensive rating of 80.3 in SEC games. That is horrendously bad.

I considered everyone, he's just not up there with the rest of those guys this season. He's averaging 9.3 pts, 3.5 boards with 3 turnovers per game right now shooting 49.4% form the floor and 30% from 3. His PER is a pretty miserable 8.4 in conference play. Every freshman on that list has a PER of at least double that I believe.

He may turn out great down the line, but he's not up there right now at all.

I guess I don't understand how overall rank works, considering that these are inverse to their rankings listed?

Times I have seen Bryant I think I see a better athlete than basketball talent right now. With that said I could see him developing into a big time player

His number shave dipped a bit in conference play, hence why I left him off freshman All-SEC. Herro and Hagans haven't seen the kind of hit he has in conference games from OOC.

Herro has gotten better as the year has gone on.

I love watching Reid play. That kid gets the frick after it.

Gotcha on the ratings ... he started out slow no doubt. He’s learning fast though and it’ll be tough for the coaches to keep him off the team as a Small Forward although he’ll be moved to wing next season. He’s actually been moved to wing in practices some already. He’s starting to gain confidence now, starting to have fun. He’s come on quite a bit as of late.

Another freshman to watch for the rest of the season is Robert Woodard. His minutes are about to double or triple. He's a player.

He's very smooth. State's freshman class is very good.

Would be absolutely shocked if Schofield isn't 1st team. 3rd in KenPom's SEC POY standings and one of only 2 SEC players on the Wooden Award Semifinalist list (Grant Williams being the other).

Alexander doesn't belong on any list except maybe all defense. Turner and Bowden are much better 2nd Team All SEC candidates from Tennessee than Alexander, Bone being a clear cut 2nd teamer if he doesn't make the 1st team.
