It happened. UGA fans can downvote all they want, but a fact is a fact.
Dude, UGA upset Auburn back in 1986 and then figured they had permission to storm the field and start ripping the turf up for souvenirs. When security proceeded to stop them and arrest some, a large number of UGA fans in the stands started throwing their precious "beverages" at the security personnel, hitting at least one.
To this day, they'll claim that Auburn turned the hoses (it was actually sprinklers) on their shitty fans in the stands FOR ABSOLUTELY NO REASON AT ALL.
You and I talk about the facts. They just invent fairy tales.

"Sadly, this isn't even unusual for games against that sorry excuse for a learning institution. I was at the 2008 game in Gainesville, and more than 300 of their "fans" were getting arrested before, during, and after the game for assaults. But I guess that's what you can expect from such a soft fan base; even the "adults" are really little more than petulant children... whole program is Charmin."
I heard at the time it was a record for most arrest on game day at the stadium.

Hawaii fans are the worst

No idea about Hawaii fans but Miami fans are just plain awful.
They attracted the worst sidewalk fans during the 80s and they taught their kids.

I'm sure some jawja fans have some stories from when they played them. I was in NOLA for that and Hawaii fans were really trashy

Reminds of the time AU tried to assault our band, only our band kicked their asses.
I love this perpetual fantasy world lsu fans live in
Oh, bear retired after lsu won in 82 because he was soooooo scared
Oh, saban begged us to take him back in 05. Yea...okey dokey.
On the duval thing, he had every right to warm up. The teams have a clock in the locker room and it lets u know when 20 minutes is up. He pushed a band member and the lsu band did a lot of jawing... but that's hardly kicking anyone's arse. Technically, lsu should have been penalized for delay of game. But the "arse kicking" is another one of their ....many..fantasies.

Hey Auburn I was there that cold night. Sitting 16 rows up
In the end zone. That was quite a job of rewriting history. They WERE high pressure hoses and the AU security manning them, apparently angry at getting beat by UGA, turned the hoses into the end zone stands in 40 degree weather. People were nearly trampled to death trying to escape the water. This area was where many of UGAs older heavier contributors were sitting. I saw an elderly woman fall and get stepped on. Her husband tried to help her up and he was knocked down too. Everyone was soaking wet and freezing.
My family was drenched and we were 16 rows up and minding our own business. The few UGA kids on the field were being dealt with with handcuffs and billy clubs. No one in the stands was on the field and no one was throwing beverages at anyone. There was no reason to turn high pressure hoses into a packed end zone. It was a classless thing to do. AU and UGA relations have not been the same since that night. That game still provides a lot of motivation for Georgia to this day. AU showed their true self that night and in the following days. A trashy, classless bunch of fools who can’t handle a loss.
I will say that all AU fans didn’t approve of this. On our way out a couple came up to us and apologized. They said that they had been to Athens several times and had been treated well and were sorry that AU had not done the same for us. The lady even offered a sweater she was wearing to my then 5 year old niece who was soaking wet, frightened and crying. Not all AU fans are like some we saw that night. But we and other UGA fans who were in those stands will never forget what actually happened and how AU refused to apologize or admit they were wrong for causing what could have turned into a tragedy as people were falling and being trampled.
AU has had a lot of low points - cheating scandals, endless NCAA violations and probations but this was a new low even for them.

Saturdayin Athens you are full of shite. The field sprinklers came on and the folks in the lower rows are the only ones that got wet. No high pressure hoses.Typical Georgia bullshite. I was there and I doubt you were.

Dude the SECC was almost 2 years ago - for y’all at least. We get it! You were hurt and humiliated but as you say “let it go.” All the insults and ridiculous posts aren’t going to change the outcome of that game by even one point.
