Best quarterback in the nation, according to who? He chose you second after Michigan and still has not delivered you a SEC West title. Great quarterback and quarterback coach. Better get a defensive coach.

Yea that's what I meant. I didn't remember a recruit coming down to LSU and Arky. Had no recollection of London Crawford.

That's what I'm wondering. It seems he'd be practically guaranteed a starting job at LSU next year. Arky not so much. Tyler Wilson seems to be a more than capable replacement for Mallett. I wonder what it is we are not being told...

Maybe Petrino just wants to keep Mettenberger away from LSU... LSU is beatable without a great QB. But add in a great QB to the rest of their offensive talent and suddenly their skill position players can maximize their potential. That's a lot scarier

That would be the only reason that would make sense on why we would be recruiting Mettenberger although it doesn't really make any sense that anyone would tranfer before next fall after the competition to replace Mallett.
I just can't imagine why we would need 5 QB's on scholarship next year?

I think he just wants to make sure LSU is the correct choice. So taking another visit may help
