Be careful kittens....UF fans were all looking to Brantley as the second coming of Johnny Unitas based on mop duty after Tim plundered defenses or his appearance in a spring game....and we all know that our trophy case did not need expansion the past two years. Better wait to see how the young qb performs with live bullets.

Im picking Arkansas to win the west....so dynasty talk may be put on hold. Both LSU & Bama will be very very good teams but will stumble a few times. Arkansas will go no worse than 1-1 in the meetings at home with LSU/Bama.

Well said, i remember Florida fans having Brantley for Heisman avatars before he had even started one game, didn't work out too well.

but as for this...

If we would of made all those field goals bla bla bla

I hate excuse makers as much as the next guy, but all the fanbases are guilty of it.

Of course he would have beaten us! He would have dodged all those tackles in the backfield! And he would have perfectly thrown passes into windows that weren't there. And he would have stopped our offense while he was on the sideline.

They had WRs running free. Bama sold out to stop the run, option, and quick pass plays. Anything vertical would have made it an actually competitive game.

I always think of LSU fans first when someone starts talking about intellectual acumen.
