Whatever need you guys have with Texas, you just need to get over it and move on. We know Texas is your ex and your ex is moving back into town and will be a part of your life again. Most other schools want Texas. And the nation wants to see the Texas-A&M rivalry be rekindled again. It’s kind of like when Auburn and Bama stopped playing each other for all those years - it was BAD for college football but now that we are playing against each other again both Auburn and Bama fans are happy.
So, for the sake of everyone else in the SEC, please move on and help make the SEC a better conference!!!!

All they wanted was the advantage of a better conference than them as a selling point. Now their move was pointless. Sucks for them.

Both A&M and Missouri are scared of their real rivals

This is how I predict this thread going...

I disagree. A&M is still in a better position than 10-12 years ago.
I think it’s a great point to make that A&M left the Big12 because that conference made decisions that only benefited one school. Now that the shoe is on the other foot, you don’t have to like it but you can’t argue that adding OU and Texas benefits the entire conference.

Logical response. Texas won’t be catered to quite like the Big 12 does. Too many powers in the conference.

This has very little to do with play on the field. Texas is a cancerous conference killer and has the receipts to show it, you were warned.

A&M got a 10+ year head start and has some of the best facilties in the country. They look a lot different than UT's little brother from 2011

Honestly I would still use this as leverage if I'm A&M that y'all moved to the SEC first and were the pioneers of getting Texas into this league.
Texas simply sounds like they are here to follow along for money/exposure/rivalry/whatever else they might want

1. This is about money and positioning.
2. I appreciate the warning, but I have lived it.

Thank you H2O for getting it. We made a super move for the future. We were ahead of them on that step and it ate them up. I don’t blame them at all for following suit

Damn straight. They are admitting they made the wrong decision ten years ago and are mentally slow. I guess better late than never at all!

Yup, and just like that, A&M’s competitive recruiting advantage in TX is gone.
If you’re a TX blue chip recruit who wants an SEC program in TX with actual pedigree, well, that just ain’t A&M…it’s Texas now.

True. Texas has no leverage in the SEC. They'll be told to shut up and get in line.

Truth. Texas might have that kind of pull in the PAC12 and maybe ACC, but in the Big10 and definitely in the SEC, they are not a decision maker.

Hold your horses. The games will be played on the field and I am confident A&M has their number. Texas can't even beat Iowa State right now.
