Trying to watch 90% of CBB run an offense with a 24 second shot clock would be pretty hilarious

A Virginia game may be lower scoring than most college baseball games

nah what you could do is give possession to the team after shooting free throws after so many fouls by the other team. That's definitely gonna deter teams from fouling.

to me it is disappointing to not be able to watch the team's best players in big games because they fouled out.

FSU made a nice comeback yesterday but Xavier can say , we probably win it if not for our best player fouling out.

No way. That's a huge pressure-related aspect of the game. Watching those kids squirm late in the game with a 1 and 1 is priceless

Agreed

I'd put the bonus at 8 fouls + double bonus at 12 fouls though

There is no reason that a loose ball rebounding foul 10-12 minutes into the half should be shooting in the double bonus

There is an even easier fix, don't commit fouls.

lol....that's part of my point....that Xavier player made two great plays, a block and and a steal, but was called for fouls.

That's like saying "We probably win it if we made more shots"

The Xavier player knew the rules going in, if he can't stay out of foul trouble that is his own fault

lol you are so stupid. They were bad calls. The rules don't say a clean block and clean steal is a foul.

Even if they were, what about the other 3 fouls he committed?

If a player can't adjust in game to his foul situation, that's his own problem.

That is an officiating issue, not a fouling out issue.

ok, got a feeling you disagree with me simply because Clemson has got the best of Auburn in recent matchups in the two big sports.

lol

I feel your pain. Auburn will have its day against Clemson at some point.

Clemson lost 5 in a row to SC in football and I never thought Clemson would beat SC again but it has won 4 in a row with this year's game in Clemson.

You got me, it definitely isn't because your idea of eliminating fouling out is stupid AF and ignores the bigger issue of poor officiating in CBB

Not sure why you think I hate Clemson. If anything, I generally like Clemson even if they have had our number in recent years. The only negative about Clemson is embarrassing alleged alumni like yourself

Again, not sure why you think this has to do with W/L vs Clemson. You could guarantee 10 straight victories over Clemson and I still wouldn't want to schedule Clemson again

Clemson isn't a rival, there is no reason to play 5 times in 8 seasons.

I do not like the quarters keep playing 20 minute half.i really like the 1 and ones don't like the automatic shooting 2 after 5th foul.the only thing I like is moving back the 3 point line other then that keep what has worked for the last say 50 years

It would actually REDUCE the number of media timeouts.

Right now, you have a mandatory timeout at the 16, 12, 8, and 4 minute marks each half.

With quarters, you'd only have one at the 5 minute mark at each quarter.

That effectively reduces the number of media timeouts from 8 to 4.

I like the idea of 4 quarters.

4 Quarters
Wider lane is much better
Less time outs
5 fouls per quarter/10 per half/means you can foul more before the other team shoots FT’s
Longer three point line

That all spreads out the players on the floor and IMO makes for a better game.

For example in the State-Nebraska NIT game last week, the first TO of the game did not come until under 3 minutes left in the first quarter. The game flows much better with lesser number of breaks.

I hope they adopt all of these changes.

I wish they would get rid of the possession arrows and just do a jumpball. When two players get tangled up.

...and another rule that I like is that the clock only resets to 20 seconds on an offensive rebound.

NIT is an easier watch with quarters, wider lane and longer 3 point line.

The 3 point line has been way too short for the last 20 years.
