As somebody who lives in Monroe I can tell you this is going terrible for the DA today. Like he might lose his job. His quote that "he didn't want to ruin the lives of two men who spent their adolescent years sweating outside when the rest of us were in the air conditioning" is not going over well. It's all over everything and social media is picking it and running with it. I'm not saying the players should have got in more trouble but that was a hilariously stupid thing to say. All kind of backlash is coming today and is already raining down ha.
He's been elected basically unchallenged for decades - and now he may lose his job for making a stupid statement?

What he doesn't want is a weed culture infecting the locker room as it affects discipline.
So everyone in the locker room and the country knows cam smoked/smokes. Not disciplining him doesn't affect the locker rooms perception of the rules?
I understand "not catching him" or turning a blind eye. But it's out, everyone knows now.
They had weed in a park at 3am. They smoke. And like you said it was a half gram, what happened to the other half?
Maybe they traded the other half for the gun they didn't know was stolen

They've attended firearm safety classes, logged about 20 hrs of community service hrs and rode with the Northport police night shift drive detail for around 20 hrs as well. That's just what they've done so far...the summer is young so who knows what's in store for the remainder of their off-season before they report for pre-season work "if" they're able to get back on the team?
What I've asked you 3 times now is did Saban drug test them? I know none of us know but that is the only troubling aspect to me
I don't care if the charges get dropped, I think it's funny but it doesn't bother me. What bothers me is acting like they weren't smoking at the park at 3am lol
You aren't their lawyer, and I'm not the prosecutor, don't give me this "it's not illegal to be out at 3am"
Someone mentioned tyran Matheiu being kicked off for self reported in house testing and I simply want to know if Saban tested them after this. And if he did will he even care to suspend them. For all we know they have failed multiple already

No he probably should lose his job for all the other young kids that made much less of a mistake and yet he prosecuted them to the full extent of the law, and before you ask how I know I will just say we just got rid of a crooked DA over here in Washington and StTammany Parish, maybe Lee Zurik needs to travel to Monroe.

If you've got proof that the DA is crooked, accepted money, etc. then it should be an open & shut case.

I will be surprised if this does not happen.

And I have no proof in anything related to the DA in question but I certainly know people in my part of the state that was prosecuted for much less, I had a close friend whose son had to go through a two year drug program, periodic test, etc for a first time offense.

Maybe, but Ole Miss will not let us down by fricking up at some point afterwards and still not sniff an SEC or a play-off spot while Bama goes on to win back to back NC's.

Sounds like your friends kid is a druggie who had something other than pot. St Tammy, Jefferson, and Orleans parishes have a heroin epidemic right now.
So because St Tammy had/has a bullshite DA you know what's going on in North Louisiana, somewhere that is almost a different state, over 300 miles away?

Unfortunately yes he was. One of the only poor decisions Saban has ever made at Bama.

Since we are just making speculations I'll go ahead and speculate cam and hootie are into a lot more than they were caught for. I know a lot of people that smoke/smoked, not a lot of them do so riding around packing heat.
And what they got caught for was no walk in the park. Even though it is being treated as such due to them being high profile athletes

You are the reason I do not post much, you are an idiot that cannot read, I said I have no proof of what the DA in Monroe does but I have been around long enough to have a good idea, and my friends son was not arrested for heroin, in our area when someone is arrested for a first time he is allowed to go through a drug program as I stated and if completed without incident THEN the charges are dropped, unless a crooked DA accepts a bribe and then it just goes away. Makes me think it probably happens like that elsewhere, what do you think.

Do you have a problem with the 2nd Amendment?

I know a lot of people that went through drug court, none went for simple marijuana possession. And that's not speculation.

Most places they can't arrest you for weed possession anymore...at most they give you a ticket.

Not at all, but since we are free to speculate I can have an opinion on why someone has a gun based off the situation
Someone with a registered firearm at their home is a little different than two 20 yr olds with pistols (one stolen) in a park at 3am, with weed on them none the less. Which is illegal btw
I didn't say I care they had guns, I just said I can speculate it was because they were into more than they were caught for
If I felt old haji in Orlando was up to no good with his weapon am I against the second amendment. Or am I putting 2 and 2 together? Based off the fact he was on a watch list, of afgani decent, and posting all that stuff on social media
