I do. And if you've been around to the premium Alabama boards they care as well. We want to win - but not at the cost of our dignity.

Damn, watching Saban talk about Louisiana almost made me feel sorry for the bastard. You can tell he deeply regrets leaving LSU and misses it very much. I mean, when asked how he likes it in Bama he says "we like it OK" then volunteers, "but we liked it here (LA) a lot" then he looks down and shakes his head and says "but I messed up going to pro ball". You can tell it eats this guy up inside.

This is nothing new. He has made it clear that he regrets leaving LSU & misses it. One of the reasons that I don't hate him is b/c he was doing what he thought was best ($$$) but now knows it was wrong. He is a proven liar but is also a good coach. If the Gumps are to accept him, they must take the good with the bad.

Saban didn't disrespect Alabama whatsoever. He happened to love the people, the culture, the fans and the State of Louisiana. I am certain that the over critical and analysing of every thing he wears, says and does, and doesn't say is
mean to hurt BAMA fans. I was raised in Alabama all my life, went to Baton Rouge, for 5 yrs. @LSU
and fell more in love with Louisiana it's people and it rich culture, it's unique and like no other state, except maybe Texas has that flavor of uniqueness. I consider Baton Rouge as much home as Mobile, but I like everythig about Louisiana better than my home state. Plus thefan base didn't obsess about him, we let him live his life and gave him his space, freedom and respect he needed to be welcome. We didn't make a Super Star out of him even after he won a National Championship.

Louisiana is trailor park trash/ rednecks? When was the last time Alabama had a minority Governor? We're on our second! Thank you very much!Dumbass woman last term and the future president that all of Alabama will be voting for possibly in four years!
Lousiana sounds pretty diversified to me?

Cliff Notes for the first 6 pages....

Nick loves money, LSU and money and the Corndogs are getting wood over the thin possibility that if Bama does not poney up the cash to keep him that he may come back to the glorious metropolis that is the Baton Rouge LA.

Gumps hate the fact that Nick had a first love (LSU) and they want him to forget her and stay with the process.

In other news the sky is up....

That opinion is not shared by all. I'd rather live in Louisiana than ANY northern state. The south is home, and you guys are just like us gumps.... just with more wetlands.

Count me in this section too.

LA has the best food found on the face of the Earth. That has to count for something.

Two things:

1. The Ala vs La is stupid. Any southern state knocking another southern state is absurd. Both states have great areas, people. Both states have pathetic areas and complete dumbarses.

2. As for Saban and LSU,for the love of Pete. The man is talking to a woman wearing a purple (probably LSU) t-shirt rocking a sick child. He's making small talk--which ain't his bag. He's trying to be pleasant with the woman. "Nah,we hated this hellhole.Sucks to be you !" Should he have said that ? He has as much interest in coaching LSU again as I do wearing a houndstooth cap with a "got recruits ?" t-shirt.

You 'Bama fans need to give him some slack.Word to the wise, this is the crap that drives him insane and will tell Sexton to start listening again.

exactly. i mean one southern state calling another one trashy is sort of silly. they all are. but the south is still great. louisiana just embraces its shittiness and has a beer while doing it which is whats great about the state.

Word has it that he was daydreaming about his time in Louisiana, when he should have been coaching the Tide.

I thought the same thing about Saban until I watched the video but his body language says a lot to me. I am not saying he will come back to LSU but I do think he knows he really messed up by leaving because he was happier here than there.
If you are not a true "southerner" than the culture of Louisiana is way better than Alabama eventhough Alabama is a beautiful state with good people.
