Yeah, I thought he missed LSU, but now I know. Shouldn't have left for greener pastures, Nick.

UGA, though this doesn't have anything to do with this posT, your team is the biggest underachievers to ever play in the SEC.

Wow, talk about an insecure bunch of mulletheads! It's funny hearing people from Tuscaloosa talking abut what a dump LA is!

As for what the fans did to Saban, there are a few fans who did make asses of themselves this year, but it's a well known fact that the Sabans still have more friends here than they do in Bama. Terry aparently loved it here. If Miles had accepted the Michigan gig, Saban may very well have come back last year (there was talk of it).

Now, suck it up and win us some games!

I got to admit that Nick sounds more regretful every freaking day about not living in LA and being king of Louisiana. For all the Gumps that think LA is a hell hole, they fail to understand that it is completely unique, one of a kind, odd, and it has obviously has charmed Saban and Terry more than I suspected.

I have to admit this one stings. All the others, jacket, tie, sweater color, who cares? Even when he said Alabama is a great place to be but so is La. But this one feels different. I know what "I like it ok" means. And it also hurts that he knew that he was being filmed

ahhhhh poor gumps, they got their feelings hurt on this one.

what a bunch of fricking pussies

are you sure, then you better run over to the gump board and let them know, b/c most bama fans thinks Saban LOVES t-town, and bama is his dream job.

Mediterranean culture. Plain and simple. Joie de vivre. Weather sucks a bit, but it ain't like no place else in the US. That's why several countries have wanted it. There was no Battle of Tuscaloosa, ever.

You know, those fans that boo and badmouth Saban sould take a different approach next year. Instead, when they go to Tuscaloosa, they should have a Saban love fest, bring him some good food, send Terry flowers, tell them how we wish him well and that he is really missed in LA... now THAT would REALLY frick with the gumps!!!!

This is a makeup call from Sugar Bowl 2007 when he made the ditchdigger comment

For the millionth time, Saban didn't make a "ditchdigger" comment. I still don't get how people don't understand the difference between saying a "guy working in a ditch" (which you'd think was already dug) and "ditchdigger."

I think this is sincere. Saban and his family really liked it in Baton Rouge. I can't imagine Tuscaloosa comes close, even with all the love for him.

Im sick of hearing how he loves La. He needs to shut up about it .

I don't try to read too much into those comments, but that one bothers me. Tuscaloosa's "OK" but they like it "there" alot. He was asked about how they liked Tuscaloosa and he volunteered the rest of his own accord. Then goes on to say what we all know, that he made a mistake going to pros. That sound bite, voluntarily given in a more relaxed setting, absolutely sounded like he would love to go back to LSU

this is some CLASSIC shite!!!!!
hey they way Miles is hiring and recruiting, bammers can keep Saban.

I went to Georgia, but my girlfriend is from Louisiana and is a huge LSU fan. I've been to a ton of their games and now they're one of my favorite teams.

I live in a region outside of the South, and during the time between the Shula firing and Saban hire, a co-worker snidely said to me, "The problem for you Alabama people is you'll never find someone to replace Bear Bryant." He made fun of us for being too perfectionist and demanding of our coaches. When we hired Saban I was thrilled because I thought, finally, we got somebody who is so good we won't have that problem. Now, turns out my co-worker may have been right. Since we can't complain about his coaching ability, his work ethic, or really even his character (yes, I know he can be a jerk sometimes when he's mad but he seems like basically a decent person), what do we do? We decide to harp on his clothes, and anytime he says anything nice about Louisiana, we go into a hissy fit about how he doesn't love us, he wants to leave... Look, I don't know Nick Saban personally, but I do have one thing in common with him -- I have lived in several different states in my lifetime, and there are things I could say I "loved" about them all. If someone from one of my former homes asked me the same question, I would probably say something along the lines of what he said. Maybe not word for word, but pretty much the same thing. And just so you know, I like where I live now okay, but I also liked the last place I lived a lot, as well.

That said, PRIORITY #1 for Bama fans trying to help the program should be to make Tuscaloosa the most attractive place it can be. Improve it to the point that it is attractive to students, faculty, coaches, players

good idea gumps, clean up that shite hole and maybe Saban will like it better.
