Fantastic hire. People will say he doesn't recruit, he doesn't have to. CKS will get the kids, and tucker will coach them up.

What do y'all think about him? On the gsb we've been a little worried about how poor his nfl defenses were statistically.

Look at his bears defense his last couple of yrs and name someone who was worth a damn. Include cutler with his ints then u have a disaster on D side of the ball.

I think that our DB's play with more confidence and seem to be way more fluid and "think less" than they did in the past. Part of that is they are more talented, but I think a lot of that is Tucker.
He didn't call plays for us this year (obviously) so we can't really speak to any of that.

I've also read on the Alabama board that he hates to recruit or something along those lines, any truth to that?

I get this as a jaguar "fan." His performance at bama has got me to change my mind... And jags dbs weren't the reason they sucked while he was there.

I think he's an NFL guy at heart and that recruiting is definitely not at the top of his list of things he enjoys doing. I don't know if he hates it, but we definitely hired him knowing that recruiting wasn't one of his strengths. Was one of the big reasons we hired Pruitt to be DC instead of him.

We heard the same thing about Tracey Rocker and all he has done since getting to Athens is stack up DLs like cord wood.

Absolutely LOVED what he did with the secondary this season. Hate like the devil to lose him, but most Bama fans expected it because both he and Pruitt coach defensive backs.
I don't think he's ever been a college DC, but he'll have Kirby right beside him for both planning and game time, so I think you'll be fine.
I don't think either Bama or UGA will have many defensive worries in 2016.

He's a good coach and we hate to lose him. Our db's played better this season than they have in years. Kirby about to own the east.

Y'all got a good one in Pruitt for sure.
Most Dawgs fans wanted to keep him. Alas - weren't able to for whatever reason (theories abound).
