Their losses are no different than Alabama losing 3 starting OL and 5 defensive starters. It just seems really bad because of the number of juniors.
Biggest issue for LSU will be leadership on defensive side of the ball, but talent will still be evident. In fact they remind me of the 2010 Alabama team.

We should be an easy win for teams next year. No need to worry.

So any team that loses to the 2013 LSU Tigers would be considered _ _ _ _ ?

What 18 starters? And do you people think lsu hasn't been recruiting top ten talent. We played 17 freshman this year.

A lot of teams played 17 freshmen.

Offense will be marginally better, Defense will be very good, not quite up to this years' though. I'm actually more optimistic about 2013 than 2012.

Mel Kiper is known for his player projections in the NFL draft. However he is not known for being much of an expert on college football itself.

We lose a ton but the starting CBs and S played a ton of meaningful snaps in big games. We played 7 LBs throughout the season. We also rotate DL more than most so next years starters won't be SEC gun shy. The biggest question is LT. If Faulk wouldn't have been hurt this year he would've left anyway so we'd still be looking for a guy to step up. The 2 FR that stepped up on the right side last year tells me we'll be ok. This team has talent. I can't believe so many people are already counting LSU out.

Yeah, I'm sure all of those teams are 10-3 teams and a few plays away from being 7-6...... in the fricking SEC.

LSU has assured us that losing 18 starters is no big deal. They'll reload and be just as good.
I'd go along with the sarcasm if we were actually losing 18 starters. I think we're losing about 8 to 9 on both sides combined. Close, though

Which is a bigger loss? Losing Fluker, Millner and Lacey or Mingo, Montgomery and Minter?

Why did you leave out Reid and Simon?
And your NFL left tackle?

it could be any combo of the 10 guys leaving. I just chose the best 3 IMO.

LSU will be fine, team will be different but that could work out better anyway.
