He was projected to go in the second round at the end of last year.

Chase chose to quit; but he could have stayed with a team which chose to quit.

Not according to DeVonta. He said multiple times throughout the season that he came back to win a national championship. The dude didn't even seem to care that he had won the Heisman. His focus was on getting one more ring before leaving Tuscaloosa. But LSU fans always seem to think they know the minds of student-athletes better than the student-athlete themselves.

Who gives a sh!t?

DeVonta has 2 natties and a Heisman.

Chase has 1 natty and the label of “quitter” on his resume.

If Chase wasn’t a projected top 10 pick, they would probably treat him completely different for quitting

LSU fans are just sorry mfers these days. Bragging about draft position of a player who didn’t even play months after football season is over... just why?

Crazy to me. No way I’d take Chase, or any other WR for that matter, over Smith. This is where these NFL guys try to get cute.

Add in Chase quitting on his team....

I agree with ya somewhat, but the Chiefs would jump on him if he somehow fell down to them.

Print the shirts! Hang the banner! Rent the billboards! Retire the jersey number!

Look at all of the absolute vaginas in this thread melting because LSU fans don’t hate Chase

Look at the ones who are excited that the guy who quit on them is ranked higher in a mock draft than the one who torched them this year.

Push off

This obvious push off will be flagged every tim in the NFL. Sucks for Chase because that’s his signature move.

McShay is a dumbass then because Miami is taking a receiver at pick 3. It will probably be Chase, but could be Waddle, or Smith.

Chase will quit again after he gets his guarantee.

Of course all you need is one retard GM to make it happen.

Well, they might outsmart themselves. They will think Smith is too small, and Waddle might reinjure himself. So Chase may very well go first. But most mock drafts have Miami taking a wr at 3.

Why is this so important to you? It's weird.

Smitty has two rings and a heisman trophy and isn't a damn quitter. I don't care where he goes in the draft.

Don’t be so sure. The NFL is more lenient in letting offensive players do what they want. I’ve seen plenty of worse push offs go uncalled in the NFL.

Smitty said all the right things. But you're naive if you believe that. He was overshadowed in a crowded group. He came back to shine, and improve his draft stock, and he did both.

But if he had been projected to go first among that group, he'd have been gone, and would have been a fool not to.

He bought the Saban advice--if you're not first round, come back another year. Boom.

Good for him. Good for Bama. Winning all the way around.

Lollll yeah you do.

Aluhbumma fans hate the fact that all of the NFL insiders still have Chase over Smith, even with all of his accolades.

Chase abusing a SR in Diggs all game as a Sophomore hasn’t been lost on anyone.
