What principle? He got rid of Teddy Bridgewater by eating part of his contract and traded draft picks for Darnold (the Jets are probably still laughing about that one). Then he took on Baker's contract and traded picks for that. He hired dumbass assistant OC Joe Brady who was living off Joe Burrow and was in no way ready for the NFL. He was a complete and utter failure in the NFL and the sooner he starts repairing his reputational damage the better.

I don't know why these NFL teams think a college coach can come in and be the GM and coach.

Unless you've won a NC Head Coaching jobs are hard to come by - if he wants to continue as one he needs to be aggressive and open to any reasonable offer, otherwise he may find himself locked out and perpetually passed over for the 'next big thing.'

Hell, Venables may not make it out of his first year at OU - could see him being fired REAL quick they way things are going. Could see Rhule getting a shot there.

I say Auburn goes after Dave Aranda. If they were smart they would.

This also makes too much sense. So not going to happen.

How did they negotiate such a cheap buyout? Asking for a friend.
