Because their schedule was a joke
except they destroyed 4 top 10 teams that season. including #2 florida in the tile game. give it a rest man, they were better.

2001 is grossly overrated. Did they have the best collection of talent ever? Likely yes
People will be like “you’re dumb, that team had Sean Taylor!” meanwhile Taylor has no stats for 2001

Bama also didn't get to pad stats and rest up with Utah State, Northwestern State and Georgia Southern on the schedule. Plus they didn't get Vanderbilt on the schedule from the east.
F 2019 LSU. Glad 2020 Bama dropped 55 on them the next season after the 5 point loss to Corndog U.

Its a dumb argument. How can you judge a team not really knowing how good the teams really were that they played, how good the competition was that season compared to teams and competition in other seasons. There's just no real way to know or compare team to team.
Based on what I've seen, the LSU 2019 team had the best passing O. The 2021 UGA team had the best D. Nebraska had the best running game.
Who's best overall, I don't think that can really be determined. The only way anyone would know that was for them to play each other and uh, that ain't gonna happen obviously.

But they did get to play a team with a 5-game schedule for a national championship

Your boy Tuscaloosa just mentioned how soft the 2020 schedule was with all the player absences. Not sure how this was a great year to boast about. Then ending with a five win OSU.

Maybe with the expanded playoffs someone will have a shot at a more impressive schedule, but no champion ever went through the gauntlet that 2019 LSU team did. 7 top 10 wins

No, internet user dstone12. LSU had a lot of players missing. Because they’re pussies. They can’t help it. It runs in their French blood.

But again, how does anyone really know how good even those ranked teams were compared to ranked teams of other years. The Bama team UGA beat for the natty in 2021 might would have mopped the floor with every ranked team LSU played that year for all we know. What about the Oregon team we crushed last year or Ohio st? Again, it's all just pointless speculation. The only way anyone would ever know who is better is head to head comp.

Internet user Tuscaloosa thinks NFL Pro Bowler Ja'Marr Chase is a pussy and French.

Then your schedule is nothing to brag about. With a five-win champ game opponent. Thank you.

This doesn't matter for shite. A team is judged by the competition in the year that they played. In other words, how good was a team relative to the other teams in that particular season?

Miami had ONE top 10 win in 2001
Lsu had SEVEN top 10 wins in 2019
Nebraska had three.
miami and Nebraska played 12 games also. Lsu had to win 3 more games
It's a no brainer. LSU IS THE GOAT

It’s a real shame we couldn’t load our schedule up with the real big dogs like Northwestern State, Utah State, Vanderbilt, and Georgia Southern.

2020 Bama beat 5 teams who finished CFP top 10.
2019 LSU only beat 4.
