What does the SEC seem to think of him? Not being a troll, I do believe that LSU will see much more out of any QB no matter who we start (Etling) but I wanted to know what the SEC thinks he could do with the obvious talent we have.

He was great at Pitt.

No one knows how he will do in the SEC.

He could light the world on fire or he could be mediocre. Who knows at this point? Let the man coach for at least 3 games.

He has "potential" to be great and do well but it's also possible that he could crash and burn. Some coaches just thrive better at smaller schools with less expectations.

He's probably in the 5-7 range in the West as far as offensive ability goes...

This is pretty much it but I will say from everything we have heard about the offense he is installing at LSU it is night and day from Les and Cam. That alone has to be positive

The word is he had to run to the bathroom and take care of business when he saw the athletes that LSU had compared to Pitt

I knew it wouldn't take long

Expand on that, and who are the 4 better coordinators then what his resume brings to the table.

There is not a better OC in the west. None that have been nominated for the Broyles award like Canada

If true, for LSU, this would be a huge upgrade over the 1960s offense that Miles ran (pun intended).

in all honesty we (lsu fans) have been fooled plenty of times before with spring offensive performances.

i am just excited to see something other than run left, run right, play action bomb attempt.

hopefully his philosophy will be successful. it seems to be fairly simple which was half of the battle with cam/miles.

I do think Resume wise he is up there. Dan Enos and Chip Lindsey have very compelling resumes as well.

I agree with Mullen and Enos, But sumlin? and Sweater Vest can't run an offense unless his QB is Cam Newton or Nick Marshall.

aTm's problem has been Defense and managing a roster

Gus does what he does...not a big fan of the O but their offensive production has been pretty good under Gus. I agree he needs the right fit at QB to make that O go

Very good hire imo. I wanted him at UT.

This year I think it was the offenses problem. The Defense held them in the Alabama game until the fourth quarter, but the offense sucked.

I guess you didn't see his offense in the middle of last season before Sean White and Pettway went down with injuries.
