I’m interested why Texas people keep assuming they’re going to win the game if Hawkins plays.
I never assume we are going to beat OU; they have beaten us many times over the last 15 years. I hope Arch will be able to keep improving vs SEC defenses, but he is still a wild card for me, and I’m not assuming we will beat Florida this Saturday.
I’m sure lots of eyeballs from all over the country will tune in to Florida vs. Texas this upcoming Saturday to see how Arch plays… If Arch does play well, I’ll feel better vs the land thieves in Dallas the following weekend…

Mateer eats Chipotle? That’s too bad, I was actually starting to like him.

Everyone thinks this. Nothing against Hawkins but it’s because Mateer has done everything for their offense. Like everything. You have watched the games? Right?

I really hope that doctors make that decision and not him. Texas just seems to early for him to be 100%.

What if Mateer was just 100% trolling him and not even play for 2-3 games? He knows everyone is keeping an eye on him and they want to know. I bet he doesn’t even play. Texas game isn’t even remotely worth the risk.

Doubtful. Texas isn’t worth risking injuring Mateer again when we need him more than ever for our backloaded end of the schedule.
I'd rather start Hawkins for Texas and take the chance of a loss, go into Ole Miss at 6-1 with Mateer healthy.

I wouldn’t sleep on Hawkins. Last as true freshman was thrown in with everyone injured and he had to manufacture offense. Had a fired OC and no QB coach. Off season he gets both OC and QB coach plus a veteran QB who all mentored him. He is 100% bought in to OU, could have transferred and started at so many schools. Experience from last year will pay big dividends.

All things considered I see that Oregon and Indiana play in the same time slot…and I have this feeling gameday is going to that game, which pissed me off because 1) you can’t convince me Indiana is for real, and 2) cignetti is an arse hat.
