Dude. Really? I expect better from someone in Germantown.

And by the way, you REALLY need to check your facts on Means. Logan Young make have thrown a couple of bucks U of M's way, but he was a big time lifelong Bama booster. Check ANY article about how that all went down.

yeah i said memphis state, who cares. a lot of people in memphis still do. i do it mainly because memphis fans hate it. secondly, i know exactly what happened with logan young. i never said he wasn't a bama booster. i just clarified he wasn't a bama grad, which he wasn't. that's a fact. i know stuff about logan young that wasn't printed in articles, like his "accidental death." i don't think he threw any money memphis' way, or not that i heard of, i was just saying that means wasn't around at bama very long after that whole scandal happened.

In case you don't realize what you typed:

quote:

the guy who paid for means, was a memphis booster that didn't even attend bama.

That is the main reason I commented. Like I said, I wasn't sure if Young maybe donated a little money to U of M, but he was definitely no Memphis booster.

ah, i can see how that was confusing. i didn't mean memphis booster as in he gave money to memphis. i meant he was a booster who was from memphis. poorly worded on my part

Nobody thinks that was an accident.

"Student-athletes who have graduated may receive a waiver to the one year residency requirements, provided they have been accepted into a graduate program and it is demonstrated that the transfer was for academic rather than athletic reasons."

YEAH, he transferred for academic reasons! That's the important phrase here. He would never have transferred to Ole Miss for academic rather than athletic reasons. Anyone who would argue otherwise has been hitting the pipe a little too much.

He had already graduated from Oregon so there was NO real academic need to transfer to Ole Miss. He was kicked off the team and that was his reason to transfer, not because he couldn't finish his education.

Why was Greg Paulus allowed to transfer then?

Because Duke didn't offer his graduate degree program Journalism. Paulus also didn't previous play football at any other school and was going to attend grad school anyway.

Because he didn't get kicked off o a program Billy, that obviously played into their decision. The NCAA's rules are open to interpretation, why don't you get that?

Better packup the tailgates in the grove before heading to the games now. Masoli will be on the prowl and free to loot.

I wouldn't bash you so much if you guys could at least admit this was a dumb move by Nutt.

The dumb move was your father not wearing a condom in his Natty light and Marlboro fueled dumpster slut fit of insanity which produced you 9 months later.

So let me get this straight. Masoli transfered FROM Oregon TO Ole Miss, that's FROM Oregon TO Ole Miss, for "academic" reasons.
Ya right. And that ain't Paris Hilton's purse either.

So....

If you take away the two misdemeanor convictions, then the transfer is OK even though it's no where in the rules?

Oregon didn't offer JM's graduate degree program in Parks and Recreation MGMT.

That's not a factor per the rulebook

lulz- He was a QB in Saints camp and now he's an assistant basketball coach at Navy.

Look, everyone knows he used the rules to play football at Ole Miss. But he followed the rules and the NCAA is interpreting the rules against us.

It is what it is

Ploy = following NCAA rules??

I love how hogtards of your ilk spin everything negatively towards OM because of our head coach and nothing else. HDN is gone and you wanted it that way, so just go play in the mud and :jimp: over Bobby "13-12" Petrino

Ole Miss is going to blow hard this year now. Pencil them in for last in the West. They deserve it for trying to bring in such a thug.

Billy you've established yourself as the biggest homer onthe board, that quite an accomplishment on the Rant. You criticize Hog fans for Petrino worship but you are just as bad with Nutt, have ever criticized him? Ever?
