He had some more tests today. Hope those tests come back okay.

Wow, who is going to pay for Masoli's public relations firm? The kids family spent some bucks on PR the past few months. Masoli may have to get a job!

For real? Will he be able to play or was it the heart problem that has left many to drop dead during practice/games?
Good thing they caught it in time.

If he weren't playing for OM, I'd say he'd be fine

He was complaining of his heart racing during walk through this past weekend. Went and had test done this past Monday or Sunday. And then had some done today as well.

He will be ok. Probably atrial fibrillation, which is kept in check by meds. I know first hand...

That's the point, there is no NCAA clause that states you can't be kicked off your previous team or be a dumbass off the field.
That's why the NCAA should comply to their own rules instead of making new rules up on the fly.
They need to amend their shite if they're going be judicial activists. That's why OM fans are pissed. The dude had a NCAA-issued road map that he followed and their interpretation was unprecedented.

There's no mentioning in the rules about having to be in good standing with the former team prior to leaving. Hell, I'm pretty sure EP was asked to leave. THe requirement was being in good standing, academically, with the university. He was never kicked out of the univeristy, instead graduating early.
But hey, they're just rules. frick 'em

They told him what he needed to do and he did it. Guess they were wrong...

Well, there's a chance that Masoli could be cleared on appeal, and then you Rebs will have the last laugh. It sounds like you have a real good case, based on what I've read here.
That being said, the NCAA has never been anything close to being fair in it's decisions.
Take it FWIW.

Good for the NCAA. I'm glad they denied him.
It was chicken shite and unfair to all other players in the FBS and teams in the FBS to allow a guy to basically transfer from one FBS school to another witout sitting out a year.
Grad school or no grad school, if he wants to play in 2010, then he needs to go to Jacksonville State like everyone else.
But, wait, his transfer was due to academic reasons, right? If so, I'm sure he'll have no problem waiting a year to play football. Riiight.
