Well Julio would have to declare for the draft. I don't think he understands that there is a great amount of time for the time you have to declare and the actual draft. So for him to say that is dumb. Any projections are just speculation.
I thought it was plainly obvious he meant that he would stay unless he PROJECTED to be in the top five. I'm sure he understands the draft process...

Guys always leave early under NMFS. He tells um to take the money and run, just how Nick thinks...

Maze is no better than 3rd round if he has a great combine. If he has an average combine he could go anywhere from 6th to undrafted. The scouts will want to see how he does as a #1 receiver instead of a #2 receiver who gets single coverage all day opposite Julio.

Maybe he's tired of Saban's BS?

I think Maze is ready to test the market. He may also be upset after a game in which the ball didn't get tossed his way much at all. He is a baller, gotta be disappointed. He don't like class much.

Obviously has the speed, hands, produced in some big games, especially last season, can return kicks/punts ... Third round prolly is a good estimate. That's whatcha got now Bama, get use to the 3 year dudes. Julio started since he was a freshman, he'll just sign another freak.

Bama can't replace Julio. Can't do it.

No they wouldn't, Maze isn't looked at as a #1 WR prospect in the NFL.
2 or 3 is where he belongs...

You're allowed to have the same number if one's on defense and the other on offense
Ok, thanks. I just couldnt remember seeing that..apparently its common. Maybe i just hadnt seen 2 high profile guys with the same number. Of course my memory is poor.

We had about 27 #10's at one point last year

Maze could really improve his stock by staying another year. With no true possession receiver on the team next year, and a gunslinger type QB replacing a game manager, Bama's offense is going to be throwing deep a good bit more and that is the type of style Maze can thrive in.
I don't blame him for leaving if he is projected 2nd or maybe even 3rd round though.

Funny how rival fans now claim that Julio is a great receiver. After this board has been dogging him since his freshmen year. He's a great receiver, but there are other great receivers in CFB. Many before now and many more to come. I don't doubt NS's ability to sign great receivers.

Julio will be by far our most missed player next year if he leaves.

That doesn't sound like a joke to me. From my limited time watching him, he seems like a legit NFL prospect right now.
And I'm pissed off for him.

No doubt about it. Phenomenal player and teammate.

Just an small update, per a 220 pound "birdy", he reiterated the stuff about Maze wanting to leave, but there is time to change his mind. He also said Julio is HEAVILY considering coming back, he isn't driven by the money, but being the best Bama WR ever...

Julio coming back would be huuuuge
