Mark Sears is no Jalen Brunson

These wild Mark Sears swings of 30+ points and then being the worst player on the floor the next game or next half just won’t cut it in a serious national title chase. He keeps getting compared to Jalen Brunson at Villanova but Brunson’s consistency and leadership were far beyond Sears.
Im struggling to see a scenario where Alabama cuts the nets in a season where the senior leader kept getting benched throughout the year for poor decision making and low effort. People who say Oats benched him for cold shooting are flat wrong. Oats and the analytics don’t believe in adjusting to cold or hot shooters. I’m not even sure that the team views him as a leader any longer and question if anyone has filled the void.
If Alabama has another Final 4 run, I think it is because Philon took over as the lead ball distributor and basket driver and Sears plays more of an accessory role.

You might need to watch out for his dick sucking fan club's charter member. He likely will not be happy with you even if he is as intimidating as an angry male figure skater going into a biker bar to kick some arse.

So now we are gonna bash our team thats had a great season because they got beat by a superior team?
Of course Sears isnt Jalen Brunson. The dude has been great for Bama and the constant bashing of his game is bizarre to me. Hes a good player who makes Bama better when hes out there

Zero to do with the Florida game. This is a season long problem of disappearing offensively in games and then letting frustration turn into turnovers, ball hogging, and low defensive effort. Not bashing the team or even Sears. But he either needs to lead this team or get out of the way.

Seemingly every lazy ESPN announcer, every game, who noticed they are both short and look similar.

Sears got blocked every time he got an iso on our bigs. Maybe it was his ankle but that definitely surprised me.

If Bama can get Cabel Holt with Philon leading the way next year lookout
Bama will be a beast.
Bama will be a beast.

I appreciate everything Mark has done at Alabama but he is a player I won’t miss. He refuses to play defense and can be a ball hog on offense.
