Here's head coach Gene Chizik's statement:
"The players arrested in connection with this deeply troubling incident have been permanently dismissed from our football team. While we realize the legal process will run its course and these young men have a right for their case to be heard, playing for Auburn University is an honor and a privilege. It is not a right."
“We hold our student-athletes to a high standard of conduct on and off the field as representatives of Auburn University, and this kind of behavior is not tolerated."
“I am extremely disappointed and embarrassed by the actions of these individuals. I want to personally apologize to all of those who were impacted by this senseless act, including the victims, Auburn University and the Auburn family.”

What did they do again?

Dude, Chizik is just cutting players off the team. I doubt anything happened at all. It's just all a ploy by AU to get better players for next year AND to get the national attn off of Cam Newton/AU's cheating scandal.

hmm.. I don't see him doing a "prayers sent" to the victims.

Armed robbery. Not really much of a choice for Chiz. But the statement was strong nonetheless.

So kicking michael lemon off the team for punching someone at a party and kicking demetre baker off the team for a DUI doesn't meet your criteria? Some of yall have such an obvious axe to grind.

They're obviously not "all in" but are they still part of the national championship* family??

They're mad because they've harped on our thugs one too many times and the crow tastes horrible.

Doing well with this and Eric Smith incident, before that it has been a while since AU players have gotten in trouble with the Law. Outside of Smith I think the last person was Blackmon, I remember how pissed Tubs was to get a call from the press asking for comment and he didn't even know.
