people who point to the overall record are missing the full picture.
big SEC schools who have a recruitng base (TN excluded b/c of thier historically shitty TN recruiting base) should win 7-8 games a year just waking up. a half way decent coach gets you to 8-9 wins.
schools who have an elite recruiting base should get 9-10 wins a year consistently with avg coaching. witha great coach, they should be finishing top 5 each year.
UGA has all the pieces in place to be one of those elite programs. Richt has underperformed - even if he gets his shitty 8-9 wins a year.

If Richt had gone winless in the SEC, he'd have gotten fired as well. Y'all didn't exactly go out on a limb by firing Chizik

Exactly. It's a crime what he hasn't done with the talent that's come through there.

He also only has 2 SEC Championship in 12 years with 0 national titles. His last SEC Championship was 9 years ago...

This is the bad one to me. On top of playing in a very easy SEC East recently he hasnt be able to capitalize and win an SEC Championship. At that point it's just a 1 game scenario where you have to take out the other. He's made it twice in the last 8 seasons and didnt manage to win either time.

It's not about what Richt has done, its about what he hasn't done with the resources available to him.
UGA fans feel they should have at least played for a NCG by now and think that Richt has hit his cap; what you see is what you get.
You have to ask yourself, are you okay with consistent success without ever getting over the hump, or do you want to roll the dice and try to land someone who can get you there?
Also have to take into consideration the east has sucked for like 5 of his 14 years there, so those divisional titles aren't that special.

It starts at the top...something most don't understand. UGA, as a school, seems fine with Richt for the following reasons:
1) He wins...8-10 games a year...the dude is consistent...that puts butts in seats and sells t-shirts...its $$ and its not that hard to understand.
2) Richt, in the land of win first and frick everything second, puts the kids first. I do believe he is a very honorable man and honestly, that strikes a chord with parents...hence the good recruiting. He is the face of UGA football...and he does represent GA well as a person.
3) We have watched both UF and UT lose coaches and turn into absolute dumpster fires...UGA is scared to make a move.
4) Richt...I truly believes, wants to win it all and ride off into the sunset...I don't think its a matter of want...I think the guy just doesn't have "it"...that spark that all legendary coaches have...hence the lack of really great wins.
The man has done UGA very proud, and most fans want to see a change, but UGA doesn't. But don't think for a second UGA fans are complacent. Thats 100% bullshite. with the talent we bring in, we are ashamed of the on-field (and off field) shite.

Despite everything else, Richt has been been very tough on Auburn. I wouldn't be too sad to see him go.

Chizik got fired because he didn't win a single SEC game in 2012, something Richt has never come close to duplicating.

Just so long as it is not TCU. Our son is an alum, and we root for the Horned Frogs.

Georgia is the Clemson of the SEC

Georgia would be scary with someone like Gary Patterson as head coach. Patterson with the talent that is available to UGA would win championships IMO.

Chizik won a National Championship, something Richt doesn't ever look to duplicate
