Considering our last HC got canned because his team kept quitting in games they could have (and probably should have) won I can attest to this not being something to sneer at.
USC is certainly trending up at the moment. If Georgia stumbles along the way, and they have a nightmare of a schedule in conference, then USC could be sitting pretty as far as making it to Atlanta.

On name recognition we do. I actually like our SEC schedule this year. Playing in Baton Rouge is always tough but I think UGA has better talent. Losing against LSU would be an upset. UGA has owned Auburn in Athens so it’s hard to predict otherwise. Tennessee is going to suck. Florida doesn’t have a QB. Mizzou has Dooley to offset Lock.
