I hope you are kidding. Honestly, I think Barron is one of the more overrated players on Bama's team. He is good but not as great as he is made to be. A great run stuffer, but he gets beat deep a lot. If you will notice, teams picked on him a lot at times when they wanted to try a deep ball. He can't cover a receiver by himself like Berry could.

I agree with everything said here.

Barron is more of a run-stuffer. His coverage skills are good, but not elite.

That being said, Woodall never wrapped a man up in his life and his coverage skills were probably worse than Barron's but he did a decent job last year.

What? Woodall was a fine tackler, and his coverage skills were not bad. He did a fine job in 08 and 09.

He was a sophomore last year and it was his first year starting at the Safety position. Of course he is going to make mistakes.

I didn't know that players can no longer get better and improve upon their mistakes like they used to back in the day.

There were quite a few times last year where Woodall took a poor angle. The BCS National Championship game is one of those. When McCoy was still in the game and they were doing an end around play, Woodall completely whiffed because he took a piss poor angle.

What a flame. Why don't you tell us why you think Barron is better than Berry instead of insinuating that I am not intelligent for disagreeing with you.

Tell us a little about your credentials.....

While I am in no way agreeing that Barron is better than Berry it must be pointed out that Barron's stats were better than Berry's last year.

When did we say he couldn't improve? I think he will be one of the top Safeties in the SEC this year. But some of the slobbering Bama fans do over him is unwarranted. He will never be as good as Eric Berry.

Hey, I like Woodall, and like I said, he did a pretty good job for us. But he never wrapped up. He just ran into them with his shoulder most of the time. I've rewatched every game from last year at least twice, and I can tell you it's true. It's shocking he was never killed by Saban. Granted, he was usually pretty effective, but he had terrible tackling form. His coverage was OK, but he did get beat sometimes. Notice he isn't in the NFL right now.

Good players take bad angles sometimes and make mistakes-it happens.

Near foot. Near shoulder.
