Moo state would love to BK. Where did they finish this year in the SEC??

When it comes to the past week? Yes.
I know the playoff era is different but ND has won the Sugar Bowl and Orange Bowl in a week. Wins over SEC champion and Big Ten runner up. Playing for a national title because of those wins.
Kelly didn’t come close to such a feat.

So you're equating 2024 Georgia with 2020 Bama?

So Kelly gets a pass because he lost to 2020 Bama?
Regardless of how you spin it Notre Dame is better off without Kelly and LSU is stuck in the mud with him.

Are we saying all playoff matchups are equal?

Are they? Kelly also appeared in the national championship in his third season.

How did that go?
Kelly lost the national title game. Kelly lost the Fiesta Bowl, the Cotton Bowl and the Rose Bowl. Kelly’s best bowl win at ND was a Citrus Bowl win, yet he still lost three games that year

He lost, but we both know that's a deflection.
You say Notre Dame is better off now but they're in the same place where BK had them in his third year there.

Indiana, with a zero top 25 resume and played just like it didn't belong.
Georgia, without its QB and still couldn't throw for 100 yards in the game.
Penn State, a team that hasn't stopped choking in top 10 games since Franklin exited out of Nashville.
Why do I think tonight's game is going to decide the winner of the NC? I just gave it.

Ok.
And Freeman’s wins over the last week against Georgia and Penn State are bigger than any two wins that Kelly had while at ND.
Both can be true.

Based on what? BK beat #1 Clemson in 2020 without their starting quarterback as well.

And yet got embarrassed in the playoff.
Regular season wins don’t equal playoff success. Kelly proves that.

It's interesting to me how the narrative with Ryan Day is that he was "born on 3rd base" due to what he inherited, yet nobody says that about Marcus Freeman. Fascinating.......

No one had playoff success vs 2020 Bama or 2018 Clemson, Saban lost to 2018 Clemson just as bad as Kelly did.
I don't understand this narrative that Notre Dame is somehow better because they were able to beat worse playoff teams than Kelly faced.
Perhaps it's just a troll, perhaps people are ignorant. I don't know.

You’re defending Kelly because he’s your coach. Any unbiased observer will tell you winning the Sugar Bowl and Orange Bowl is bigger than anything Kelly did at ND.

Yes, because the average "unbiased observer" will say muh playoff game win.
However, to as a person who actually knows CFB (as I assume you do), what makes these wins "bigger" than any of what BK did?
Under the 4 team playoff, and the BCS especially, the regular season was your playoff.
If BK loses to #1 Clemson in 2020, they don't make the playoff that year, how is beating Georgia this year suddenly bigger than that?
If they lose any game in 2012, they likely don't make the natty.
It's recency bias IMO.

You lean on that 2020 win because aside from that you can’t name the big wins Brian Kelly had at Notre Dame. They don’t stand out. He lost every big postseason game he was in so the narrative has to become “the regular season mattered then!”
