Disgruntled Employee causes flight cancellations

The Mizzou band tried several other options, but short notice forces them to cancel trip to Columbia-e.

I heard disgruntled employee who started the fire also bets on cock fights and kicks puppies.

Georgia's the only team to bring their band to W-B this year thus far

not hearing that garbage on the other end of the field has been so pleasant. nice to know it'll continue tomorrow

Always been a great part of the college game atmosphere was having opponents bands attend.

Except for Oklahoma and Boomer Sooner. Oh lawd...

2000 flights canceled. The contract worker is in some deep dooda! It could be a month before normal traffic resumes.

But what bothers me most ..... Is no Marching Mizzou at game! I am just ticked off. And lucky not to have any air travel plans in the next month.

Couldn't agree more.
Surprisingly, a few SEC schools disagree.

You've obviously not experienced UT's marching band in person

Hearing Rocky Top 20 times in your own stadium before half time gets hold fast. And I'd prefer that most teams left their band at home.

I will say I enjoy watching SC State's band. 2007 they played Crank That to end their halftime show and killed it.

See, I understand man. I really do but I have some Tennessee roots so Rocky Top doesnt get me like it does some of you all.

However, I think I "get it" because Boomer Sooner is the Big 12 equivalent of Rocky Top and frick that crazy noise.

Hey, I gotcha.
Your opinion is certainly respected; and I've learned that several schools agree with you (e.g., Arkansas not allowing us to take our entire band & perform at halftime at their place).
I personally love that stuff.
The more pageantry, traditions, bands, fans, etc. from the visiting school, the better.

Good luck to both teams (Tigers & Cocks) tomorrow!
Y'all's match-up intrigues me.

One of my fondest memories as a child was before a Carolina-Clemson game, both bands were already seated and one would play a song and the other would play after.

Like a defacto battle of the bands.

My first memories of Mizzou football were the bands as well man.

I would hate to see opposing bands removed from the equation. I get we all have to move forward but college football has a history only second to MLB. Lets not lose it while we are racing towards the end state.
