C'mon Tigerlabia. You can't blame a man for trying to better himself. Dave Aranda did a good job for LSU and will be missed. Maybe we will scoop up the Venables feller. He would surely come, since everybody loves a winner.

What it really makes you appreciate is a program like Alabama. 5 NCs in the past 11 seasons from the toughest conference in college football history. No one else is close to that. Clemson has done a little less than half of that during the past 6 seasons in a soft conference. And Bama is still here.

Facts: LSU is historically a stronger program than Clemson, and LSU whipped Clemson’s butt recently too. Clemson is new money and should enjoy the two championships they got by playing in a weak conference and then winning the big one through sheer guts, because that’s all you guys will ever get for a long, long time. Clemson is only an elite/deep/consistent program in the eyes of Clemson fans. They do not carry the National Respect that they think they do on a program level.

I would have appreciated the Clempson program a lot more, if they had been capable of making a game of it against LSU. It gets kind of boring as an SEC fan, pretty much knowing that the SEC championship will be the actual national championship game, because the inferior conferences can so rarely field a team that can compete with them.
