Are people camping in the state park with all this weather about?

pretty intense thunderstorm here.

I have no idea. I imagine they have cabins and a lodge/hotel. That's all they said on that live feed. He did say it was unofficial though.

Grist is one of the smaller state parks. No lodge or hotel. Only campsites.

I grew up about 15 miles from Grist State State...aka Camp Grist. It was a rite of passage for kids who grew up in Selma to spend a week at summer camp there. My childhood friends and I went the summer after first grade. I know the entire stretch from Suttle to Valley Grande extremely well and the area is actually quite densely populated. That tornado appeared to be on the ground the entire stretch and only missed the heart of Selma by only about 7 miles to the north. It's now hearing towards my dads house on Lake Mitchell near Mitchell Dam. Thankfully he is out of town.

Reports of extensive damage now from this now confirmed tornado from just north of Selma to just south of Clanton in the Verbena area.

I'm about to go to bed. I'm going to say another prayer for all of you. Please everyone stay safe.
