I'm glad somebody brought this up. The Bama fans were fricking relentless on Tebow's crying after that SECCG, however since Ingram's teary Heisman speech Maze Bammers seem more willing to accept that crying has a place in football.
FWIW, it would be pretty damn hard to hold back those tears of joy if you had just won the most prestigious award in college football.

Only 4 posters in this thread didn't agree with the OP. The rest sympathized with Maze and Alabama - these are the ones you should respond to.....

You have obviously never played a sport.
Played several up til high school varsity level and still play drunk league softball. Wasn't talented enough to continue to collegiate besides intramural nonsense.

Show all the emotion you want, doesn't mean we all have to feel something for you looking like a dumbass.

I have to admit I didn't like the Tebow crying thing because it showed that he can't lose like a man. Maze on the other hand couldn't help his team mates anymore and that is a little more acceptable. I still don't like crying in football. I guess I'm not an emotional guy.

So then shut the frick up. You dont understand what its like to play a sport at a collegiate level all the way up to your senior year and get hurt during your last game. Maze's final game was on the biggest stage in college football and having to watch from the sidelines is a huge disappointment.

mwlewis,
I am sorry I wasn't directing this at you at all.
It was meant as a clarification that most of the responders except for a few agree with the OP. The majority sympathize with his point that Maze was in a lot of pain and showed his emotions of not being able to help the team.
I was just trying to get the point across that most of the responders are sympathetic to Maze and only a few were responding sarcastically or criticizing him.

No... Somehow a football player crying cause he can't play just doesn't strike an emotional cord with me. I am just a heartless bastard, what can I say.
Some people live sheltered lives I guess...

Damm MertyTyger you act like he put his nuts in your face. You in love.I am sad for the guy but LSU and GUmps had seniors that cried, last games for all.Haven't you learned yet that all fan bases will get along with you as long as you blow smoke up their collected asses.I am sorry what is the punchline Metry?Nnd yes I played sports from seven years old until thirty eight yrs old .Also got paid doing it.

Well I tried. Football is a very physical sport but it is also a very emotional one. I guess you would have to play it to fully understand it. Good day.

Maze cried because he will never play any kind of football again outside of two handed touch with his boys.I like the kid but it happens, I hope him best of luck.
