I’ve never put much stock in the Mandela Effect, but I’m close to 100% sure that John Madden died almost 10 years ago, not several hours ago.

Does anyone else agree?

Seems kinda strange that they announce the death around when the documentary came out

Here’s an article published on November 19th about his passing.

Best announcer ever imo on nfl games. And Madden gave us football all the way back on sega genesis. It really started to get good in 2000 on the ps2 tho.

Yep I checked Wikipedia a few days ago actually and saw he was still kicking and was surprised. Also thought Harry Reid died since they already renamed Vegas’s airport after him.

Madden and Bob Barker both surprised me. I knew Betty White was still alive, but thought Madden and Bob died a long time ago

I was shocked that he didn’t die a long time ago. Maybe I’m just conflating when he retired with when he died. Either way it’s definitely strange. I would have betted big money he was dead.

I liked Madden. He just loved football. Really cool miller lite commercials too.

I saw the preview for his special last week and thought the same thing you did. I looked it up to see that he was indeed still alive. And now this..definitely strange.
