yep. if you want the various air yard stats and yac stats, here they are for mac, burrow, brady, and mahomes mac jones IAY/PA 7.5 CAY/CMP 5.4 CAY/PA 3.8 YAC 1410 YAC/CMP 5.3 Joe Burrow IAY/PA 8.0 CAY/CMP 6.1 CAY/PA 4.2 YAC 1411 YAC/CMP 6.0 Tom Brady IAY/PA 8.1 CAY/CMP 5.6 CAY/PA 3.8 YAC 1680 YAC/CMP 5.4 Patrick Mahomes IAY/PA 7.6 CAY/CMP 4.9 CAY/PA 3.2 YAC 1756 YAC/CMP 6.0 whats interesting is burrow, brady, mahomes all are getting more of their yardage as YAC than Mac is both as a total and per completion, and Mahomes who has maybe the biggest arm in football is behind Mac in almost all of these metrics. LINK another interesting stat, mac jones has been blitzed the most of any QB, tied at 120 with Lamar Jackson, and has been hit 8th most, 35 times

Kendrick Bourne is a nice player, and they have two good tight ends.

Yeah but if Kendrick Bourne and two TEs are your top receiving threats you aren't going to be pushing the ball vertically all that much. The only burner they have is Agholor, who is a drop machine. If they had a guy who could stretch the field vertically they'd throw the ball downfield more often. They don't though, so most of their play designs are intended to scheme guys open in the 10-20 yard range.

Mac throws a catchable ball baw

quote:

Every Patriots pass-catcher other than tight end Jonnu Smith is experiencing a career-low drop rate this season. Among New England’s pass-catchers with at least 10 targets, tight end Hunter Henry, running backs Brandon Bolden, James White and Damien Harris, along with wide receiver N’Keal Harry all don’t have a single drop through 12 weeks, and only Smith has dropped more than two passes.

Wide receiver Nelson Agholor has seen his drop rate fall from 15.8 percent in 2020 to just 3.0 percent his season. Jakobi Meyers and Kendrick Bourne have also seen their drop rates fall by at least 1.5 percentage point so far.

quote:

Even ex-Alabama pass-catchers Devonta Smith, Jaylen Waddle and Najee Harris all had lower drop rates in 2020 while playing with Jones than they have so far in their NFL rookie seasons. Alabama’s drop rate this season is at 7.9% after Jones had a 4.0% drop rate in 2020. Meanwhile, the Patriots’ drop rate has halved from 7.2 percent in 2020.

Most are a threat to go deep. Most Ds are willing to give up the dink and dunk passes, like I said the bread and butter of the Pats. The competition makes a difference. If you ever get behind by two scores, you will have to throw down field. Lucky for the Pats they have a good D.

Wonder how well Mac would do after a destroyed knee. I think some small minded trolls forget that part of Burrow's rookie year.

If I am reading right Burrow has one more YAC yard. So how can you say that?

Compare O lines. Night and day. Burrow still has to have eyes behind his head.
His Oline sucks.
