Here's Lunardi's weekly Monday update at predicting the NCAA tournament field. He has five SEC teams in:
Kentucky a 1 seed
Florida a 4 seed
Vandy a 7 seed
Miss St a 9 seed
Alabama a 10 seed
No mention of any other SEC schools in the "first 8 out." Arkansas and Ole Miss likely ended their hopes with their performance over the last week.

by the end of the weekend MSU could easily be on a 5 game losing streak and 6-8 in conference. i wont be surprised if they're out of his projections within a week.

Bama in the tourney is a pretty stupid notion. I spoke a little too soon for Arkansas after coming off a win against Vandy, but Bama is just as bad. Well, maybe Bama is a little better but still terrible. I hope LSU can finish strong in the SEC and get in.

We would have to win out and do something in the tourney too. That's just asking too much for LSU. I was surprised their rpi took such a positive bump over a dreadful south carolina team. Still, LSU's chances are so slim not even worth getting excited about.

can you explain to me the beef memphis fans have with state? Im from memphis and I just dont get it. Are yall butt hurt from the football games the past two years? I just dont get where all the hatred comes from....and what if we beat UK and Bama this week or split the games? And as it looks right now coach Cals ( He is a raging a-hole

It could potentially happen. If Bama and State both finish at 9-7 I think both would get in. UK, UF, and Vandy are locks at this point.

I agree. An 11 would be the perfect scenario for us I think. Considering how there are maybe 6-7 elite teams this year and everybody else is capable of laying an egg any give basketball game.

When I look at Bama's quality wins I can't help but laugh and then say who the f are these teams. I guess Bama did a good job in schedule but beat absoultely 0 of the good teams in their schedule. A couple wins against no names with I guess decent RPI? After the Florida mauling, I believe Arkansas may have lost that home court thunder. So if Bama can't win that one then no way they get in.

If Lacey moves over for the cover. We beat Georgetown. This 'Bama team is about 6 plays short of 4 more wins.
Then the player dynamic of the team imploded. If we get Green and Mitchell back this year. We can be a very dangerous team. I think we have the potential to be the third best team with Vandy in the SEC. I doubt we ever live up to the potential this year tho.

It's very possible they get 5 in without an upset. It's the consensus across the board at the moment. Obviously State is struggling and Alabama still a question mark at the moment until there's word on Green and Mitchell, but to say there's "no way" is a little silly.

I'm an LSU fan. i barely even follow Memphis (and only in basketball) so there goes that theory of yours.
