I think we hold that crown.
LSU wins championships with their shitty QB's.
We lose to Kentucky, Auburn, and Vanderbilt with ours.
We had Stephen McGee, Jerrod Johnson, and Ryan Tannehill on the field at the same time...when we lost to Arkansas State.

Chris Smelley, Stephen Garcia, Blake Mitchell, and now Connor Shaw.
All four had shining moments. And then they just crashed and burned.
I can't remember the last year we didn't have a QB change in the middle of the season.

yea, Lee was actually money at the beginning of the season until les decided to sit him for no reason whatsoever
Lol wut?
Les sat him because he continued his annual tradition of throwing the ball to guys in crimson. Jefferson saved the day for Lsu on 11/5/11

Jarrett Lee was offered a scholarship by 30 division one programs including Arkansas, Nebraska, Oklahoma and others. The longer they stayed at LSU, the worse they got.
Lee led the led the SEC in QB efficiency last year. But you probably knew that.

I really hate to side with a Bammer, but Les Miles absolutely has coached Mettenberger down. We run junior high-ish routes. I think every single roll out this year has resulted in a throw away out of bounds. We run either a straight go route, or a route under 12 yards. Cornerbacks squat on the short stuff all day. Mett is forced to throw into triple coverage, or throw the ball away.

Don't blame Les, Mett missed a shite load of open WRs yesterday

What I dont understand is the one and two man routes. That's easy to defend for anyone

Maybe Les knows that he can't consistently make big throws. The over throwing receivers, missed opportunities to get it to guys running open, etc. Maybe the receivers aren't doing a bang up job at getting separation either.

Go back and watch the yesterday's game again and you will have a completely different viewpoint. Miles gave Mett every opportunity to shine yesterday and Mett simply couldn't execute. There were WR's running wide open all day long and Mett was horrible.
I don't blame Miles one bit for not having any faith in Mett in the red zone. I would put him on a very short leash too. Mett is dumb, slow, and just not very accurate. It's all on him. No one else.

It's called losing 3 of your 5 starting Olineman since the beginning of the season and needing max protect to protect a QB with concrete feet.

Star Jackson was ranked ahead of Jordan Jefferson. Philip Sims was the #2 QB according to Rivals. Alabama is where elite QBs go to die.

The same can be said of Bama QB's. Name one that has had a great career in the NFL since Stabler. At least Demarcus Russell made bank.

Why did you just completely ignore the Phillip Simms/Star Jackson post?

Because it's not relevant to this discussion.

Jarrett Lee and Jordan Jefferson were two of the most highly regarded QBs in the country coming out of high school. Jarrett Lee was offered a scholarship by 30 division one programs including Arkansas, Nebraska, Oklahoma and others. The longer they stayed at LSU, the worse they got. Mett seems to be headed down the same path, albeit on an accelerated time table. Yesterday I watched the LSU offense make a very mediocre aTm defense look almost respectable. And, with the exception of one throw, Mettenberger was pathetic. If I were a top QB recruit, I wouldn't give LSU the time of day.
What position did you play in high school?

I actually think Jordan Jefferson is better than Mett. Both suck at throwing but Jefferson could actually move a little.
